Rose flinched as Cardin threw Jaune to the ground and prepared to crush him with his mace. It had been a month since they had began classes and Jaune was still being beaten by the big bully. Though she wasn't much better. Her fighting skills were still horrible, even with David coaching her. It didn't help when he got close to her to help her correct her stance. Whenever that happened her brain seemed to go poof.
"Miss Voca?" Professor Goodwitch called her name bringing her out of her thoughts.
"Y-yes?" Rose straightened surprised.
"I asked you if you would like to go next." The professor had one eyebrow raised at her blushing face. She really did need to stop thinking about David and his body.
"Y-yes." Rose stepped forward drawing her sword. "Who is going to be my opponent?"
"Sadly only Mr. Arc is currently at your level." Professor Goodwitch frowned. "Your grades in all the other classes are exemplary. I wish you would put the same effort in my class as you do the other professors'."
"Yes professor. I'm sorry professor." She apologized. The worst part was that she was trying her best. At least she wasn't treating her sword like an axe anymore. It had been embarrassing when professor Goodwitch had asked if she would rather use axes. Thanks to David she could at least hold her sword correctly.
"Hey Rose." Jaune stepped up on the stage once more. His smile was small and she could tell his heart wasn't really in it. "Go easy on me?" He joked.
"I should be saying that." Rose smiled back.
With that said Jaune moved forward. Not nearly as fast or hard as when he taught Cardin. He really was going to go easy on her. She mouthed a thanks and prepared to defend like David had taught her.
But before she could professor Goodwitch stopped the fight. "It seems your team captain has received permission to remove you and your other teammates from my class. You may go. Miss Schnee. Miss Belladonna. Your up next."
"I'll beat you next time." Rose joked as her and Jaune stepped down.
"You know it." He smiled at her. She frowned as he walked away, limping slightly. She really hated Cardin. He was such a bully, especially towards Jaune. She honestly wished someone would put him in his place. Maybe she could ask David. He had already beaten him with ease in one of the mock battles.
"Let us go." David announced without answering their silent questions. They had already gotten used to his personality change. He smiled less and always was serious. She couldn't decide which she liked more. His seriousness or that gentle smile he used to show. "We have many things we need to go over."

Tigris had been curious where David was going to take them. It turned out he had worked it out for them to witness mock battles between some of the senior class members, so the distance was relative short. She couldn't really complain. It was good practice to watch someone more skilled than you.
Three seniors waited on a neighboring combat room. Two girls and one boy. They greeted David with a nodded, and it was obvious they respected him.
"I spoke to these three's captains in order to borrow them for today. And I received permission to have the three of you excused from classes today." David explained why they were there. "They will be working with each of you to help you improve your fighting."
"Arter Pindragon." The boy stepped forward. "He will be working with Tigris. His weapon of choice is known as one of the most versatile weapons at Beacon."
"Lindsey Sterl." One of the girls stepped forward. She had brown hair pulled up in a ponytail, her bangs cupped her freckled face cutely. A pair of glasses was tucked into a shirt pocket. And green eyes seemed to be laughing. "She will be working with Rose." David then pulled a microphone from his pocket and offered it to Rose. "I had this weapon built for you. Let me know if there are any changes you would like made. Before you ask me how it works see what you can figure out yourself."
