Y/N was a wealthy business woman known for not taking shit from anyone. She was guarded and a loner, she also detested to be late. So when the airline told her that no planes were taking off today because of the storm she was in a foul mood. Nothing could make this day worse. First her meeting didn't go as planned and now this.

Y/N sat in the airport lounge on those god awful chairs reading a 'woman's health' magazine when a small infant started wailing. Y/N huffed and turned around to tell the child to shut up when she saw the most beautiful woman she'd ever laid eyes on.

The dark haired woman was rocking the small crying infant back and forth in her arms trying to sooth him. Y/N smiled sadly and picked up her briefcase before walking over and sitting opposite the woman.

"Come on, give mommy a break. Please" the mother begged kissing the top of her sons head. Once the small boy spotted Y/N over his mothers shoulder he stopped crying and smiled at the funny face she pulled at him. His giggles made his mother turn around causing him to start crying again.

Once his mother shifted him in her arms to face Y/N he stopped crying and smiled at her. His mom sighed in relief as did half of the people waiting in the lounge.

"Thank you so much" his mother told Y/N.

"I'm Lauren and this little guy is Tyler" she said tickling his stomach making him giggle again.

"Y/N. Hi Tyler" Y/N said waving at the small boy.

She never normally interacted with children. She loved them but they always seemed to hate her.
Y/N smiled as Tyler stared at her with curious eyes.

"Ty be nice" Lauren told him, sitting him down her on her lap facing Y/N.

Lauren and Y/N talked for hours waiting for their plane. Ty had eventually fallen asleep in Y/N's arms she held him close to her chest, not caring about his drool on her expensive suit. Y/N got her seat changed so that she'd be sat next to Lauren and Ty in the plane.

"Thank you so much for helping me calm him down, he doesn't like flying or being still too long."

"Something else we have in common" Y/N told Lauren as they waited for their bags at the baggage claim.

"I'd like to see you again" Y/N told Lauren as she handed her her business card. Lauren has just put Tyler to bed.

"I'd like that too" Lauren kissed Y/N's cheek as she held into the front door.

"Call me" Y/N told her as she walked down the driveway and into her car.

"Home please" Y/N told her driver with a smile on her face. She couldn't wait till she saw Lauren again.

A/N: I know it's short but I'm new to publishing my work online. I'd like to know what you think of it and if I should keep writing them :)
