Single Release Party Part 1

"Could this day get any better?" I tweeted out to my fans with a huge smile as I looked out of my car window to the studio I would soon be recording my first single, and soon my album in.

"This is sick man, hurry up" My best friend Charlotte shouted as she banged on the car window. She had jumped out as soon as the car had stopped.

"Let me enjoy the moment asshole" I cursed at her as I slammed the car door shut before locking it. I took my guitar out of the back seat and followed Charlotte inside. I chuckled as she skipped through the halls.

I greeted the producer, Tank, that would be helping me record my songs. When I heard his name I was slightly terrified but he is such a softie.

"Isn't life crazy sometimes? #Blessed"

I tweeted and placed my phone on silent as I walked into the recording booth.

Never in a million years did I think I'd be sat here in a professional recording studio, recording my own songs. I smiled happily, singing softly to myself as I set my camera up in front of a stool in the recording booth. I wanted to record a video of a cover while I was here.

To keep within my YouTube roots.

Once I was happy with my set up I hit record and sat down with my guitar on my lap.

"Hey y'all, it's your girl Y/N here. I'm sure you've noticed the different background behind me. That's because I'm in a real official professional recording studio!" I giggled and patted my guitar excitedly.

"So much has changed since we last spoke. I got picked up my Epic records a few days ago. And today I am recording my first single!" I squealed excitedly.

"I wish I had more news for you right now, but check in with my socials and I will keep you lovelies updated. Anyway, here is my acoustic cover of Queen B's Halo. I hope you enjoy" I smiled and leant closer to the microphone in front of my face strumming the opening chords.

I looked right into the camera as I sung.

I ran my hand through my hair once I'd finished and looked back to the camera.

"I hope you enjoyed that guys, I can't wait to see you all again soon. Peace" I held up a peace sign and made a kissy face before Charlotte stopped recording. She had a large smile on her dorky face.

"Amazing as always boo" She smiled taking the guitar from my hands.

"Tank wanted to run 'Square One' from the top when you were finished." I nodded and stood from the stool as Charlie opened the blinds that I had closed before recording my video.

I glanced over and saw Tank stood there along with Simon Cowell and a handful of people I didn't recognise.

"You ready?" Tank asked as I slipped on the headphones that were hanging over the microphone. I shot him a thumbs up and moved myself closer to the microphone.

I win the race, and then I fall, I gave it up, to have it all" I pressed a button on the side of my microphone to active the preprogrammed Autotune we had decided on.

We fire it up just to burn it off" I couldn't hear what it sounded like with the Autotune but I couldn't wait to hear it

"Come on out and we'll listen to play back" Tank's voice filled my ears as I slipped off the headphones, I looked over to the window and saw nothing but large smiles on their faces.

"Oh holy shit" Charlie yelled as she jumped into my arms. I caught her and spun her around feeling nothing but happiness.

"Babe that was amazing!" She squealed into my ear. I laughed as I placed her back down on her own two feet.

After a few hours of rerecording and adding backing vocals and adlibs we were finished.

"Let's go out and celebrate" Charlie suggested on the drive home.

"Fuck it, why not" I said after a few minutes of debating with myself.
