Backing up in awe as she hands the shiny blade to me, my face shines with excitement."mom, how much did you spend on this?!" I smile and grasp the handle of the sword, surprised by the light weight of the simply perfect metal."I'm glad you like it but that's not important." Mom puts her hands on my shoulders with a worried yet dignified look on her face"Rokkira." She shook me slightly as tears once again streamed down her face, she looked into my eyes then hugged me tight, so much it was hard to breath. Standing there in shock, not caring how hard it was to breath questions ran wildly through my mind."Rokkira? The town? Why do u want to go there, you aren't coming with me are you? Why else would you react like that?" I thought. Tears soon begin to stream down my face too, leaving puddles of warm tears in each other's shoulder I dropped the sword and hugged her, never wanting  to let go."y-you can't s-stay here it's not safe!well go together-" she grabs my shoulders again and gives me a stern look." I'm sorry Luna," she smiles again as tears continuously flood her face."I just can't stop loving that hideous monster." Her cries turn to a wail and I find myself comforting her."it's ok." I say calmly rubbing her back as she cries. After she calms down a little I give her a confident smiles and begin speaking," Mom, I promised I will protect you. I will never break that promise, but right now I'm not strong enough to fully protect you."I force a smile as she stops crying and looks at me."so, I'll make another promise" She smiles up at me with the pain of knowing this is goodbye."This isn't goodbye forever, I will return" I gain my confidence back and grab the sword off the ground as I turn my back to her and take a step forward."Don't stop smiling, ok? I will always remember you, I will always love you." Still turned away I begin to cry again"s-so don't cry." I wipe away my tears and continue walking into the forest, fighting a battle inside my head. "Don't turn around. You have to protect her, this is the only way you'll be strong enough to." I heard her wailing slightly in the distance which made it even harder but as I continued to walk my battle finally ended. I won.
