Chapter 23: Kurans Tail

           "After I castes the spell I sat down in the corner of the room trying to watch Kuran practice but I was too shocked at the power that I had just released. My mind slowly wandered back to a time where I felt inhuman, the first time I had felt enough rage to drive me mad and everything faded into a black abyss.I soon began wondering what would happen if I gained enough power then that rage came back to me, I could kill people! Then I looked up and saw Kuran complete the magic spell, but then everything went black again and the fire killed Kuran." Kuran and Master were trying to think of a way to explain all this, listening carefully as I continued." That's when I started crying, yet my wails seemed distant like it wasn't me who was making them while everything was black. It was painful, I believed that Kuran was gone and I blamed myself for not being able to protect him. After a while the darkness faded and I saw master," I continued on with the story leaving out nothing and Master seemed he had an answer to what I experienced." Hm....I'm not sure but, maybe that power was too much for you. I have seen this happen before but never have I seen anyone breakdown like that from it. The power was trying to control you and trick you, your goal was very important to you so it easily had a way to make you suffer. Magic can be evil like that." Kuran walked toward me confused and worried, but I saw something behind him swishing. Not being able to tell what it was I tried to ignore it." Hiyogi, do you think this will happen to her again?" Kuran still has something swishing behind him, it looked like a tail, but why would he have a tail? " Maybe, but not for a while. The more power she wields the stronger she will have to be from at telling what's wrong or right. If there is a next time that happens she need to realize that the power is trying to play with her and show it who's boss. Luna is powerful but, she usually dosent display it." Master looks at Kuran and carelessly states." Oh, and put away that tail of yours." Me and Kuran both look surprised as Kuran stuffs his tail in his shirt and wraps it around his torso." Uh...a tail? Why do you have a tail?" I ask Kuran with an intrigued face as he sighs." Well, guess I can't really hide it now. Mom was a wolf demon, she took the form of a human and eventually fell in love with my dad. Dad was shocked to see that she had wolf ears and a tail, she hid it from him for years but dad still loved her. So all in all, I'm half wolf half human." I look a bit confused" where are your ears then?" Kuran quickly replies." Dad cast a spell on them when I was younger cuz everyone made fun of me for it. The only time they come out is in water or when Im unconscious." I feel a bit stupid because I didn't notice anything sooner." Just please don't tell anyone what I am, okay? I don't want to be treated like a monster anymore." Master and I both nod our heads then I smile." I think it's really cool!" I walk over to Kuran" can...can I see your tail?" Kuran looks a bit embarrassed but he slowly unwraps his tail and slips out from under his shirt. Revealing a beautiful silver tail I can't help but touch it." It's so soft!" I pet his tail happily as Kurans face gets redder," y-you...you think so?" I Rub my cheek on his soft, furry tail and look up at him." The only person who hadn't made fun of me for it was my mother." He smiles at me." Thank you for excepting me for what I am." I smile up at Kuran a
Master is waiting with a bored expression in the corner." Hey, guys...enough." I had forgotten Master was there and stiffen up." U-uh..yes master!"
