After a few minuets the man finally stopped crying and calmed down a bit."are you okay now?" I say in a comforting tone as he lifts his head off my shoulder and wipes away what little tears that were still trying to escape." Yeah, thank you..." The man states still recovering from his emotional breakdown."his mom died 2 years ago, a monster attacked her while she was out gathering herbs in the woods." He says with a pained expression." If I just went with her instead of staying home I could've...I-I could've saved her."He says almost crying again but successfully holds back his tears." He blames me for his mothers death," he laughs as an attempt to push away the pain."can't blame him." Kuran steps out of a nearby alleyway fighting tears as well, but his eyes were red. He must have been listening to our conversation and cried along with his father." Dad, that's not what I think" Kurans eyes water as he tries so hard to keep the tears inside and walks toward his father." I-it's not your fault," Kuran gives up on holding it inside and begins screaming out in guilt and pain as he runs into his fathers arms." If anything it's my fault, you had to work! I had enough time to go with her, like I usually do but instead I went out to with some friends!" Kuran and his dad both hug tighter." Kuran, it's not your fault. Don't blame yourself for my mistakes." The merchant begins crying and I stand there watching them hug and cry feeling emotions rush in and can't help but cry too." Dad, I'm sorry I never come around, I'm sorry I can't be a better son and I have been so harsh to you the last two years." The man smiles as tears flood both their faces and I see the same scene of my mother smiling and crying flash into my mind bringing back painful memories."It's okay ,Son. Let's not worry over that time but move on and make new memories, new promises." Kuran tries to wipe away some tears but they only cover his cheeks again seconds later." I'm sorry, I lost sight of your importance and my promise I made to your mother when you were born. I lost sight of my purpose, to protect you." Hearing those words both my eyes and Kurans widen and after Kuran hugs him almost knocking him over due to his words I can't help but jump into their embrace crying." I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist." I say with a slight smile piling into their hug." That's fine. You were the one who made me realize that purpose anyway.Thankyou." The man and Kuran smile at me and pull me into their embrace as our tears slowly begin to dry. Smiling I feel happy, I feel like I belonged with them. With a dad and brother that loved me. I wanted to stay in their warm embrace for hours.
