" we're almost there, we just have to go through this forest, they don't have a  trail leading to the-" me and Kuran were so excited we just left master while he was explaining and started making our way through the forest. As soon as the village came to my sight I stood there frozen and tears instantly started streaming down my face".....no...no....this can't be happening....this has to be a different town....this can't be..." My whole body shook with fear, Kuran looked up at me worried and confused and when master came up behind me and noticed my expression he turned me to face him linstead of the dead village." Luna....what's wrong?" I was crying so hard I couldn't speak, I was holding in screams but finally I asked." D...*gasp*...did any of the people...*gasp* e-escape?" Master gave me an even more worried expression and shook his head, I fell to the floor hugging my sides because they ached from holding in my pain."...t-then...then....s-she...she's gone...mom....is really...gone..." Kurans eyes widen and he gets up," there might still be a chance she's alive. I'll go and see." Master tried to stop him and explain that they were all dead, but he ignored him and walked into the nearest house, then to the next, easily fighting off goblins and wolves." Luna...this was where you were born?" Master asks with a look of pity and wide eyes, when I nod my head master fell to the floor next to me and hugged me tight." I'm sorry, Luna...I'm really sorry."I shake my head while crying" no, it was my fault..I was supposed to come back and save her from Dad but instead this happened, I should have forced her to runaway with me." I stood up wiping away my tears," let's clear out this town." I calmly walked through the horde of creatures, power emitted my body, they seemed to be scared and would not attack me.however, Kuran seemed to be struggling, three wolves were trying to pile into him, once I got to his side. I pulled out my knife and quickly stabbed it straight into one of the wolves hearts, pulling it out I quickly turn around, a wolf was trying to attack from behind but before he pounced on me I took his life as well. Kuran finished off the last one and I stepped out into a clear area, now all the monsters seemed like they wanted to attack me, quickly I position my fingers into the symbol of the fire spell, half of the monsters around me were instantly taken out by a twisting wave of fire that scorched the floor. Next I took the position of a lightning spell and bolts of lightning flooded the sky and rained down on the monsters before me. Now only the ones that hid in the houses were left, Kuran was taking care of them, using his magic now so I decided to go into my house and see if her body was there. Stepping into the house, I am face to face with the smell of death. My eyes widen and I can't help but cry again, my body was trembling but I remained strong. Walking over to the body, I stare at her lifeless body in tears, with a scream that was so terrible I didn't have the strength to keep it inside. Wailing I hugged her dead, cold body"...I'm sorry! Im sorry I couldn't protect you. I just wasn't strong enough yet, I broke my promise and I'm sorry just please don't be dead, mom! Please...I just want to see your smile again, hear your kind voice, and your...just please mom, don't...be...dead...." I let go of the dead body and let what I had known from the start settle in, she's dead and she's never coming back, not even the most powerful priest can bring a human back to life once it has died. Kuran and master have been watching me in tears the whole time but, I was too preoccupied to notice." Hey, mom...have fun in heaven..okay? I'll see you again someday...just wait for me, okay?" Behind tears I smile and muster up some strength, the whole time her face was flashing through my mind, her smile, her voice they echoed through my mind haunting me but, I stood and forced a smile." I love you...mom." I pick her cold body off the floor and brush past master and Kuran in silence, taking her out to the entry of the forest." This is where I made my promise, this is where I left you crying...this is where your heart broke at the sight of me leaving you, but, you stayed strong and knew it was for the best...so now, I will stay strong and know it's for the best at this same spot. As I set her down I quickly went to look for a shovel, once I came back Kuran was sitting next to her, he had a single flower in his hand, he put it in her hair as a symbol of respect. Smiling at him I start to dig beside them, once the hole was dug out enough I slipped her in and covered her back up. Master came back from the forest with a whole bouquet of flowers and handed it to me." Thanks," setting it on the grave Kuran had already found a wooden cross, it was small but that didn't matter." Really, thank you guys...I don't think I would be able to do this alone." I force another smile " No, you would be able to, we didn't do this, you did. Your a strong person now, If we were here sooner there's no way this would have happened." I smile at him and we all get up and start walking toward the forest." I don't know about that." Kuran looks at me ," you just took out more than half of a town full of monsters." I laugh pushing away thoughts of my mother," oh, that was nothing...." Kuran looks at me with his jaw dropped," NOTHING?!" Master and I laugh at him and we continue back home.
