Standing up off of the ground I extend my hand toward her for a handshake with a welcoming smile."Would you mind telling me your name?" The girl looks a bit confused at first but sighs and comprehends"well, there's one thing I like about ya," she smiles a real smile," you never give up." I was a bit shocked to see her actually smile but hid it the best I could so I wasn't seeming rude. She cautiously shook my hand," The names sara." My face brightens up seeing as she opened up to me and I can't help but hug her. Sara seems as though she had never had someone hug her before, her face went red and she looked really confused."w-wha-" she looked resistant but didn't want to be rude she tried to hug me back but sighed and just stood straight as I squeeze her."k-kid, t-that's enough. W-what if something tries to atta-" "oh, nothing's gonna attack us, silly!" Sara gets mad and punches the top of my head causing me to let go and rub the wound on my head. " ow, what was that for!!!" I state like a child. Sara only laughs at my pain and begins walking off into the forest again."H-Hey Sara! Wait!" I run to her and she doesn't push me back, she reaches in her pocket and pulls out something and pounds her fist in my direction, I jump back but then notice she was trying to give me something."u-uh...what's this?" Sara doesn't even turn around to face me she just opens her hand revealing a-"a whistle?!" I carefully pick it up and examine it."just shut-up, blow on this ONLY when you really need my help, got it?!" She still isn't facing me when she says this but I smile anyway and excitedly stuff the whistle in my pocket."T-Thanks." I say and she looks back at me once before running into the woods."Hu- w-wait where r u going?!" I say dumbfounded by her speed into the now emptied forest in front of me."huh, well at least I know she trusts me enough to give me this," I say sighing, then head back to the trail. Staring at the whistle in awe, I smile as I walk down the trail with confidence."Thankyou for trusting me....Sara." I whisper into the wind as I look up at the sky and hold the whistle close to my chest before tossing it back in my pocket and continuing on my journey.
