Chapter 30: My first mission, might kill me

- A few days later-
After, Kuran had recovered Master worked hard teaching us the rest of the basics. Over the last 4 days we both have learned Water, Healing, Air, Plant, Rock and Lightning skills. Master said today will be the day we are allowed to go out hunting together but master insisted on going, even though he doesn't do that with other students." Hey, Luna...are you done getting your stuff yet...Jeeze, you take forever." Kuran is back to his teasing self and is waiting for me outside the door, before answering I open the door." I'm done, and I took less time than you..you woke up an hour earlier and finished just a few minuets ago." I stuck my tongue out at him and we walked down the hall, out of Masters area and out of the building." Hey, wait for me!" Master opens the door after Kuran closes it on him, he followed us from the hallway but Kuran ignored him and I just played along." Oh, forgot you were there old man." Master had gotten used to Kurans nature but was still a bit ticked at his new nickname." I told you, I'm not old!" He said with a vicious glare as Kuran and I casually walked into the crowd of people in the market leaving master to struggle through the sea of people. Once we reached Dads house we told master to wait outside and we were gonna say Hi to him." Hey Dad." Kuran walked in first and Dad instantly dropped what ohe was doing and ran to hug us." Kuran, Luna!!! It's been so lonely around here without you!" I am squished so much it's hard to breath and I try to escape, Dad sees that I'm struggling and let's go." We completed our basics so we should be able to stop by a lot more often, but right now we're on our first mission and can't really stay. Sorry Dad." Kuran explains and he nods understandingly but behind the nod I can see how lonely and sad he is without us. Hugging Dad I smile then run to my room and grab the two books I forgot to bring with me and stuffed them in my bag. Once I get back Kuran is hugging dad goodbye, once he is finished I do and we leave." Done?" Master asks trying to be cool but me and Kuran are already on the way out the gate." H-hey! D-don't leave me!" Master realizes and races to our side." So, master where to?" I ask with a smile." Were headed to a little town that was taken over by monsters a few weeks ago. Over looking it, I didn't notice that the only town in this forest was the one where I was born. But, soon I will find a truly gruesome sight.
