Olivia's POV

It's dreadful.

The hours waiting for something to change were dreadful.

If someone would ask what I felt, I'd say hollow. And who has to endure it?

Zayn.

I'm feeling like a burden to him.

"Liv," he murmured, sitting back next to me after he stopped pacing. He nudged my side slightly, "You have to eat something...it's been a day you're here. Look," he tilts his head to the side a single time, pointing to my grandparents, uncle and dad that were looking down and are horrified with what had happened, "your family's here too, let me get you something and then go home to rest. If something changes they'll tell us and-"

"I don't want to." I flatly state, my tone of voice dry and my body felt heavy. I know he was trying to be there for me, he couldn't show how much this shook him too because he wanted to be strong for me.

"But-"

My eyelids fell close, "Don't make me do this, please." I whisper, it's what makes him stagger.

I already changed my bloodied clothes and cleaned my hands. More wasn't in it for me.

He sighed heavily, then rubbed my arm tenderly, I lean to his hand slightly.

The quiet and serene feeling between us gets rudely interrupted.

"What are you still doing here?!" I heard father snap at Zayn. I was the one who flinched.

Isn't he tired of the constant fights and anger he feels towards Zayn? It won't change my feelings for him, it won't change the fact that I'm carrying his baby.

"Enough." I whined tideously, moving closer to Zayn whom hadn't said a word because he is being considerate with what I can feel. He instantly rounds his arm around me, I encircle mine around his waist.

"He shouldn't be here-"

Glowering at him, he kept glaring back, "If you can't accept him here then I will have to leave too, do you want that?" I bitterly told him, I felt Zayn tug me closer to his side, whilst dad stared harshly at me. His eyes were bloodshot, he had cried too for mum. It was slightly surprising to get aware of how much my dad still cares for mum, his feelings are quite intense from what I could tell.

They operated her for over fourteen hours to save her life, but we still didn't have any changes on her life not being at risk since they don't tell us anything.

"It's okay, babe. I should leave for a few hours." He softly murmured to me, I grasp him tightly, ignoring my dad until he left.

Zayn continually brushed my arm and let me cling to him for a while, finding something good in his scent for me...

"Olivia." It's my nana now that is asking for my attention, I barely hum at her and watch nana's pale face. She looks so tired.

They have been asking me questions and my grandad even blamed Zayn, until I revealed why this has happened.

It was me.

She was harmed because of me.

"You should be with your father for a while..." She urged me sadly, her clear eyes twist in concern, "Nothing against you." She assured Zayn, then expectantly looks at me.

I could feel Zayn's stare at the side of my face until I looked up at him.

"You should." He said as well, he leaned down and pecked my nose, my eyes had fluttered close.
