"We have exactly twelves hours to get ready, ladies! We don't have enough time!" Chloe shouted.
Chloe forced us to skip school so we could get ready tonight for the prom.
"Chloe, it could take us seconds to get ready, why did we need to skip school?" Kayla complained. Chloe glared at her.
"Two things- one- since when did you like school?- and two- the prom experience!" Chloe emphasized.
"What do we need to experience?" Kayla questioned.
"It's a girls day! We get to watch movies, do lunch, and gossip about our love lives! I've seen plenty of movies on this, girls. Clarissa can learn more about our cultural values as well. It's a win win! We can do this!" Chloe said enthusiastically.
I sighed, giving in. It's not like I could stop her. It would be a good distraction from thinking about tonight.
Chloe huddled us to the couch and started to play a movie.
"So," Chloe began. "Let's talk about our dates. I'll go first. Zach is the sweetest! He totally gets me..."
I don't want to bore you with the details, but I thought it was sweet that she rambled about Zach for who knew how long.
"...and yet he laughed and spilled juice on the guy anyway. Alright, enough about me, Kayla's turn! How's Tyler?" Chloe said mischievously.
Kayla flushed but admitted some stuff anyway.
"It's great. We've decided that we may or may not go out after prom sometime." She said nonchalantly. Chloe gave her a flat look.
"That's it? That's all you're giving me?"
Kayla nodded. Chloe turned to me expectantly. I think Chloe knew she couldn't pry anything else from her.
"I don't know. Sometimes we kiss, but I don't know what we are." I said honestly.
Chloe looked at me and I squirmed uncomfortably.
"I think you guys are cute together. You guys deserve to give each other a real shot once this bullshit with Marissa is over. It's obvious how much you guys are about each other." Chloe smirked.
I blushed.
"I think we're close-"
Kayla snorted at that. "You guys are totally head over heels for each other. Don't even try to deny it." Kayla put in her input.
"I don't have time to think about that. An evil sorceress who wants to kill us all is striking tonight. I don't want to talk about this anymore. Please just let it go for now." I pleaded to them.
They both looked at me with soft eyes.
"Ugh. One of these days, I want real gossip form you two. Let's just watch the movie." Chloe sighed.
