You arrive at Dogs and Beth. She starts to make dinner and you ask if you can help with anything, she say " siata go relax me and Baby Lyssa can get this." All the sudden three little kids are by you asking what happened to your face. Leland tells them to go out back and play till dinner. He says "I'm sorry you know how kids are." " its ok, um can you point me to the bathroom please?" " sure right this way." This was the first time you really looked at your face. The whole left side was swollen and black and blue. You couldnt blame the kids for asking. You realize that your still wearing Lelands hoody. It smelled really good. As you walk out of the bathroom Leland looks up from the couch and asks if everything is ok. You tell him yea and start to take it off. " oh keep it, its fine," " oh no no I can't keep this its yours." "I insist. Do you want to watch tv with us?" You just noticed that Tim and Duane Lee were there. " sure why not" you sit next to Leland on the couch. You see Duane lee and Tim exchange looks. Baby Lyssa comes in and sits between you and Duane lee pushing you closer to Leland. This time you dont mind as much. Beth comes in and says that dinner will be ready in about in hour. She tells the guys that she'll be out back with Dog and asks if you can come see her and Dog real quick. "sure," you say. You and Beth walk out back and you're a little scared and Beth senses it and says " our ok don't worry your safe now" Dog stands up as you get closer and starts to give you a hug and then stops. " is it ok if I give you a hug?" " um ok" " k because I heard how you reacted when Leland grabbed your hand." as he lets go of you from the hug. Then Beth gives you a hug, "sista me and big daddy want you to stay as long as you want. We also want to offer you a job in the office. We want you to know that your safe here." You look at them and start to cry. This is the first place since you left home the you felt safe. All you can do is say thank you over and over again. "its ok sista" says dog as you pulls you into another hug. "Angel it really does suit you." he says. They tell you to go inside. You walk back in and your spot is still there so you take it. Only this time Leland's arm is on the back of the couch as you sit on the couch he goes to move it and tell him its ok. Its about 45 minutes later. "Oh shit! Oh shit!" Beth yells form the kitchen. You all go to see whets up. "Oh my god dinner is ruined and I have nothing else to cook." Everyone else turns around but you and Leland. "Hey Beth you mind if I take look at it?" "Knock yourself out but all thats in the fridge is steak tips and theres no gas in the grill. And the mashed potatoes are a little brunt and we have no veggies but asparagus." "No problem. Do you mind?" "No not at all," she says and she sits down and looks at you and so does Leland. "Beth do you have bbq sauce and spices?" "Hunny their all in the cabinet to the left of you." You take off the hoody and grab the bowl of steak tips out of the fridge. You grab everything and start mixing everything up. You've started to sing Candyman not even realizing it. By the time everything is done everyone is looking at you. Their just sort-of stunned by you. "Dinners ready" you say and you turn around surprised. Everyone grabs plated and start getting food. You get your food last and everyone is sitting at the table waiting for you. You find your self sitting next to Leland and you dont care.

Dad and Beth took Angel outside to talk to her. Im trying to see her but I cant. Lyssa looks at me and then outside and says "someone has a crush on an angel!!" Duane Lee goes "Lyssa he cant keep his eyes off of her." Tim is sitting on the chair looking at me. "Hey Leland she cute but be careful because she scared and shell probably be a little stand offish about guys right now" I shake my head. I just want her to know everything is all right. I see shes crying and I resist going out there. Then she smiles and I can feel my heart melt. Shes unbelievable and I dont know why. She comes back in and sits next to my again and starts to watch the tv again. Then Beth yells from the kitchen and we all go to see whats going on and she tells us. Angel just looks around asks a couple questions and starts making dinner. She sings well she does it and I cant believe how wonderful her voice is. By the time dinner is done everyone has watched her and it smells so fucking good. We grab food and sit. Everyone has made it so she is sitting next to me. And I dont care.
