Chapter 7 - Phoenix

Dark Venus' POV

I opened the suit case delivered earlier.

Mom knows best talaga. The mask fits well. I readied myself for the ball.

*Phantom Ball*

"Guess who just arrived!" The Emcee excitedly announce. "He just arrived. Black Phoenix is here! Watch out fellow gangster. He might be standing next to you. Right here, right now."

The idea of seeing or standing beside that Black Phoenix makes me upset.

I'm about to leave the ball when I feel being watch.

I cancelled my call to Ojiisan.

"Would you mind if I seat here Dark Venus." Two gangster asked in unison.

I don't say a word or even take a glance at them.

They pull in unison the only vacant chair on my table.

"Take off your hands." A familiar voice command the other.

Upon hearing the familiar voice I look at the two gangsters.

"No." I told myself.

Tazuke look at my eyes. I find it a little creepy. It send volts to my nerves.

The other gangster. He's tall, dark and handsome. One word to describe him - HOT.

"Gotcha." The hot gangster take his seat.

I noticed yung nago-glow sa bandang chest nya. When it was hit by the moon light. Anyway, I don't mind at all.

"Excuse me." Tazuke looked back. "I'm leaving. You can have my seat." I point my finger on the vacated seat. "Sayonara" I winked and bid good bye.

Hot nga hambog naman tong isa. Gwapo nga si Tazuke may pagka womanizer naman. I hate the attention he's giving on Dark Venus lalo na't sobrang sweet nya pag kasama ako, I mean the nerd me.

My phone rings. Its Ojiisan.

"Cho where are you?" Lolo asked.

"Heading to Tuazon Mansion Lo."

"Are you sure Cho? I guess you're heading North." Lolo said.

Napatingin ako sa daan. We're heading somewhere.

"I have a confidential trip. Very urgent Cho. I need you to represent me to the Phantom Ball. You need to sing the midnight song." Pinutol na ni Lolo ang pag-uusap namin.

"We're here Ma'am. 10 minutes to change dress. I'll take you back in the ball within 5 minutes after." My crazy driver adds craziness to the night.

My iphone ring again. Its Ojiisan.

"I forgot to tell you. Black Phoenix has a tattoo on his right chest which is visible only under the moon light - full moon light."

"Okay." That ends the call.

*Phantom Ball Midnight Dance*

"Gangsters all over Asia and Europe! Lets welcome Miss Nicole Tuazon as she warmth our night with her angelic voice." The crowd clapped.

I started to sing Thousand Years.

Tazuke's POV

"You take my breath away." Napangiti ako sa naisip ko.

Deep inside I know there is something with her. I want to know what is it that bothers me.

Nicole Tuazon's POV

Habang kumakanta ako ramdam ko ang mga titig ni Tazuke.

He's really a damn womanizer! Flirting with Cyrine Cho, seems interested with Dark Venus and now starring at Nicole Tuazon like there's no tomorrow. Geez!

Oh wait. It is possible. Patay na. Baka hindi pa nakaka get over dun sa ginawa ko sa kanya sa Tuaffee La Tea House.

Palapit na si Tazuke.

"May I dance the woman that will cause my sleepless night from now on." Its Mr. Hot Gangster.

"Oh sure." No choice na. Tazuke is coming near me kaya pumayag ako.

Tazuke tried to exchange his partner with me but Mr. Hot Gangster don't want to. We've been dancing for 1 and half song already.

"Kanina ka pa tulala Nicole." Mr. Hot Gangster stated.

"Uh-eh. I'm not." Halatang nagsisinungaling ito.

"I heard you're searching for me." Awtomatikong tumaas ang kilay ko. Nakita nya ito kaya napatawa sya.

"What do you mean Mister?" I curiously asked.

"This." He pointed his chest. Hindi ko maintindihan until masinagan ng buwan ang chest nya. It's glowing.

He pull me closer.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing!?" Inis na tanong ko. He will kiss me I know.

Tazuke came to the scene. He take me out of the ball pero paglabas namin sumakay ako agad sa kotse ko. Iniwan ko sya.

I'm craving for Tuaffee. I decided to buy one.

*Tuaffee La Tea House*

I pushed the door and saw Tazuke. Nakaupo sya don na para bang alam na alam nyang darating ako.

I turn back and ready to leave the place but he grab me, pull me closer and kiss me.

"Pervert" I slap him but he kiss me again and the next thing I knew was I responded.

"Bayad kana. Nag-enjoy ka naman." Nakangiting sabi nito.

Kung pwedi lang lumubog sa kinatatayuan ko ginawa ko na pero hindi pwedi eh kaya tumakbo na lang ako palabas. Nagtatago ako dito sa parking lot.

Pumasok ako sa exit ng kitchen. Nagulat naman ang mga staff.

"Hi! Naku sorry naligaw ako. Mag-rest room lang ako." Ngumiti naman silang lahat.

Pagpasok ko sa Rest Room. I locked the door at nagbihis. Buti na lang may spare clothes ako. Nag nerd-look ako para makauwi na.

Paglabas ko nakita ko si Tazuke na nakaupo malapit sa pintuan.

Nag-order ako ng Tuaffee at 2 pieces na chocolate roll for take out.

Pagkaabot ng order ko ay diretso lang ako. Oh yeah! Nalampasan ko na sya!

Nag-aantay ako ng Taxi ng bigla na lang may magsalita.

"What are you doing here Hime?" cold voice na sabi ni Tazuke. Alam na alam ko na ang boses nya.

"Nakigamit lang ng Ladies Room." At ngumiti ako. "Saka bumili ako nito." Itinaas ko yung bitbit kong chocolate roll at Tuaffee. "Sige. Una na ako." Paalam ko dito.

Diretso ulit ako sa paglalakad. Hindi na ako lumingon pa.

"Hime come with me!" sigaw ni Tazuke

"Madame pa ako gagawin. Hindi pwedi eh. Next time na lang." Binilisan ko pa ang paglakad ko.

Pag sinuswerte ka nga naman. Walang taxi na nagdadaan.

"Wait lang." Hindi ko sya pinansin. "Alam mo bang may CCTV Camera sa loob ng condo ko?" Naabutan na nya ko. "Sa loob ng kwarto Hime" bulong nito.

"I don't care." Sabi ko

"Ok then I'll go with you. Go. I'll follow." Seryosong sabi nito.

"Ayoko! Hindi pwedi." Sabi ko sa kanya.

"Ikaw na lang ang sumama sakin." Suggest naman nito. "Sa ayaw at sa gusto mo sasama ka." At binuhat nya ako. Nagpupumiglas ako. Ayoko talagang sumama sa kanya dahil naiinis akong napaka-babaero nya!
