It was over 10 o'clock when Peter had run off to the woods, and you and Roman went back into his apartment. You weren't really looking forward to it, so you searched through the mess in your backpack to see if you had brought anything useful with you. You saw the shirt that you had brought in case you were cold, and thanked yourself that you always did that. Because you were indeed getting a little cold, so you out on your shirt over your sundress and started rumbling in your bag again.

"Stop making noise." Roman stated from a distance.

You turned your head and saw him sitting by the large dinner table, it looked like he was making his homework.

You snorted. "Ahw am I distracting you from your homework?"

He slapped his hand flat on the table and turned his head to look at you. "Just shut the fuck up. If it wasn't for Peter, I would have kicked you out already."

"Geez calm the fuck down." You sighed. "I'll keep quiet, your majesty."

You found your deck of tarot cards and started shuffling them. Destiny had adviced you to practice reading them at least once a day for yourself, and if possible also for someone else. That was pretty much the way for all the divination forms you were learning about from her.

Practice on yourself and practice on someone else. Practice makes nearly perfect.

After shuffling the deck, you lay three on the table and studied them. You scribbled down in your notebook what cards they were, what the book meaning of them was and what they meant for you, what feeling they give you.

Lust.

Help.

Decision.

You stared at the cards and frowned. These cards weren't for yourself, because you had already read your own this morning. These were for Roman.

"Doesn't look too great." You mumbled.

"What did you say?" Roman asked, turning to you again.

You shrugged. "Nothing. I had to be quiet, remember."

"Jesus fucking christ." Roman sighed as he turned around again, back to his homework.

You really couldn't take this anymore, getting more annoyed by the day. You grabbed your cards, put them back in their box, and got up.

"Why do you hate me so fucking much?" You asked Roman, as you kept your distance from him.

"Didn't I tell you to be quiet?" Roman snapped at you, not bothering to look at you.

"Fucking answer me." You said. "Like the tough guy you think you are."

He got up and raised his voice. "You really wanna know?!"

You nodded and took a few steps back, just in case, til your back hit the wall.

"Because you are bad news. It's people like you, useless female gypsy pieces of shit, that always steal from people like me!" He yelled, giving you a filthy look.

"You mean spoiled and cocky rich kids?" You said. "Or upirs?"

His eyes widened. "How the fuck do you know about upirs?"

The look in his eyes wasn't anger at the moment, he was terrified. Terrified that you would run around and tell people. He looked so vulnerable, and that did something to you.

You crossed your arms in front of your chest. "I'm not as stupid as you think I am. I've heard the stories, I've talked to Peter and Destiny and I've seen it in your eyes."
