"You ready, pumpkin?" Roman said to you as the two of you walked from your place to his car.
"Born ready, pretty boy" you joked a little, before getting onto the passenger's seat
Honestly, you were quite nervous. You'd never really been on a date, let alone with someone like him. But you weren't going to let him know that.
"I know I said I'd take you out for dinner." Roman said after a few minutes. "But I've found something more fun to do. So we'll do that some other time."
You smiled a little. "Fine by me. Oh and I got myself an interview for that job at the cafe, so I can finally make some money and keep myself occupied."
"I can keep you occupied." Roman replied with a grin.
"You sure can." You laughed. "But I don't think I'll survive it if you do that daily."
The two of you kept chatting about random things and before you knew it, you were two towns over and Roman parked his car on the lowest level of the parking building.
"What's that noise?" You asked as soon as you got out of the car.
Roman chuckled, "you haven't been paying attention to your surroundings, have you?"
You shook your head and at the same time Roman got next to you and intertwined his fingers with yours, holding your hand.
The two of you walked through the parking building, following a small group of people upstairs to the centre of town.
There you were greeted by neon lights, the smell of buttered popcorn and the sound of cheers and excited screams.
"I love town carnivals!" You smiled widely, squeezing Roman's hand in excitement.
Roman's hand let go of yours and slid to your waist, holding you tightly as the two of you pushed through the crowd that was formed in front of the entrance gates.
You had decided that if would be for the best if you ate something first, so Roman went off to get some slices of pizza while you waited for him on one of the benches that were put all around the carnival.
"What's a pretty girl like you sitting here all alone?" You hear some guy say as he sat down next to you.
"I'm not alone." You stated.
The guy grinned a little. "I don't see anyone else here with you besides me."
"Please leave." You said as politely as possible. "I'm not interested anyways."
"Come on, just admit you're here alone." The guy said with a chuckle.
You were about to throw out some curse words, when Roman say down next to you and looked at the guy.
"She said she's not interested. And besides, she's here with me. So leave her alone."
The guy snorted. "Whatever man."
"Just fuck off." You sighed, turning your back to him and eating the pizza Roman handed you.
You noticed the guy mumbling something as he took off and you had to keep yourself from laughing.
"I'm here with you, and no one here knows us. And that feels nice for a change." you stated after finishing your pizza slice.
"I get what you mean." Roman replied. "I mean, the whole secretive aspect of this all is pretty exciting, but I would like it if I can just be with you without having to be careful that anyone sees us."
"Fuck it for now. We can do whatever we want here." You chuckled. "Not a soul that knows who we are or where we're from. I want to see your romantice side!"
