Calum's POV

After we came back from swimming, we decided to talk for a little while, then head to bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light. It was now 2:30 in the morning and I'm lying awake in bed for a reason that I don't even know. I look over to notice that Maddie isn't in the bed asleep with Luke.

I quickly shoot out of bed and run around the hotel room, trying to find Maddie. When I can't find her anywhere in the room, I check the last place I have left. The balcony. I rush outside to the balcony and find her asleep in the chair, shivering because it got cooler than it was earlier.

I sigh and pick her up then bring her into the living room and set her down on the couch, completely forgetting about the "keeping my distance" deal. That doesn't apply right now because if Luke found out I left his little sister asleep outside, I'd be in major trouble. If he found out ANY of us left Maddie outside asleep, we'd be in trouble.

I cover her up with a blanket, then go back into the bedroom and fall asleep again.

Maddie's POV

I awake slowly to sunlight peeking in through the curtains in the window, rubbing my eyes tiredly. I stretch and go into the bathroom, splashing water on my face.

The guys have a concert today in San Francisco and it's only 6:00 a.m, so I decide to let them sleep for a few more hours. I go into the living room and turn on the TV, finding nothing on. I quietly sneak into the bedroom and grab my phone off the charger, then secretly take a picture of Luke and Calum sleeping.

I sneak out quietly and get on Twitter, posting the picture with "The perks of waking up early, you get to take pictures nobody knows about. @Luke5SOS, @Calum5SOS," as the caption.

(Time laps, 10 hours later at the venue)

The guys are currently in soundcheck to get ready for the concert while I am backstage, bored out of my mind. I steal a few snacks here and there, but other than that, I'm doing nothing. I decide to go outside and explore around the venue and to get fresh air. I take the back entrance, knowing nobody will be there.

As soon as I walk out, though, I hear screaming. I look and see a whole bunch of fans behind a fence. When they notice it's me, they stop screaming. I mentally thank god for that, as I'm not used to big crowds. I hear a few fans calling my name, so I walk over there to talk with them.

"Hi there, girls. How are you today?" I ask a small group of girls.

"We're good, but we're really excited to see the guys," one of them replied. I smile and nod.

"The guys are excited, too. They love what they do, especially playing to all of you," I add in. The girls squeal a little and I smile again, happy for them.

"Can we please get a picture with you?" The second girl asks.

"Really? Sure thing, " I reply with a hint of enthusiasm.

"Thank you, Maddie," the third girl adds in.

"You're welcome, anything for fellow fans," I reply again and slightly laugh. I take a picture with them and then wave, before walking off.

As I'm walking back to go inside, I hear someone else call my name. "Hey Maddie. It's nice to see you," I stop in my tracks and nervously gulp. I know that voice. God, I know that voice so well. I turn around and see none other then Logan standing there, a smirk plastered across his face.

He slowly walks up to me and I try running away, but I can't. I'm too frozen in fear. My breathing picks up, but I can't let him notice. I take deep breaths to calm down, it only helping a little bit.

"L-Logan, what are you doing here?" I ask in confusion.

"Didn't you hear? I'm one of the body guard's sons," he replies. I quietly gasp and shake my head, whispering to myself.

"No. No, this can't be happening. Please no," I run back inside and go straight to the dressing room, curling into a ball in the corner, starting to hyperventilate. I gasp louder as I see Logan barge into the dressing room, anger clear on his face. When he spots me in the corner, he smirks and that's when I knew I was in trouble. He closed the door and walked over to me, pulling me up by my hair.

I bite my lip so I don't yelp in pain. He brings his hand up to hit me, then we hear the guys' booming voices walking towards the door. Logan immediately lets go of me and silently curses, then walks over to the door, leaving without saying a word. I sit there frozen, too shocked to even move.

The door opens and the guys walk into the room, stopping when they see me. I force a smile and wave at them like nothing happened, sitting down on the couch. Luke speaks up.

"Hey Mads, what did you do while we were busy?"

"Nothing really, just went outside to get fresh air and talked to some fans," I replied. "Also ran into my abusive ex-boyfriend," I didn't say that one out loud.

After half an hour of random conversations, one of the concert managers comes to tell them that they're on in 5 minutes and that they should start heading to the stage. They all nod and head out, giving me a gigantic group hug on the way.

I contemplate whether to join the others on the side of the stage where I might run into Logan again but will be able to see the guys and they can see me, or staying back here where Logan could come in and do me harm.

I decide to join the others on the side of the stage, thinking it's the best option. I walk over and stand with everyone else, as they're are getting their final touches done before going onstage. I force another smile at them and wish them luck, telling them they'll do great. As soon as they get the signal, they're walking onstage to play their first song.

The guys run offstage after the concert, hyped and excited. I give them all hugs, feeling awkward hugging Calum. We all head backstage so we can leave, and so we can drive to our next destination. We hop onto the bus and they instantly start arguing about who's going to shower first. Michael wins the argument and heads into the bathroom to shower, while the others and I sit and play FIFA. Except for Ashton, he just watches.

All the guys, except for Luke, get their showers done, making it to where I can take mine. I always took my showers before Luke did since he likes making a mess, even though he says he doesn't and has tried his best to not make as big of one. I go into the bathroom with my clothes to take my shower, then head back into the living room when I'm done.

We continue talking and playing FIFA, until Michael says he's hungry. We go raid the kitchen of the bus and the fridge, then do our own things.

With all that happened today, I'm thankful that I can relax now. The only problem now is the fact that I have to see Logan every damn day.

A/N:

Hey, my lovelies! Here is a really shitty update, sorry. I haven't really had any inspiration on the story, that's why it took me FOREVER to update. I'll try and update more. Anyway, can we please talk about the "Girls Talk Boys" music video?!? I've watched it at least a thousand times (okay, I'm exaggerating there, but still) and I'm still not over it.

Luke, Michael and Ashton were trying so hard to make me swerve during the video. Like, I'm trying to stay loyal to Calum, boys!

Enough rambling, Maddie! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this filler and shitty chapter. I have 4 weeks till my SLFL concert, I can't wait. I love you, guys. Thanks so much for reading.
