Maddie's POV
The guys and I have done nothing but celebrate Luke's and my birthday. There are times that I hate having a twin, but most of the other times, I'm glad I do. Luke and I have been extremely close since we were little. Our parents work all the time, so we never saw them. It was mainly just us two once Ben and Jack moved out.
Right now, we're heading out to dinner for our birthday, the guys being the one's who planned it. I'm sitting in the back with Calum to my left, and Luke to my right. I was focusing on the conversation Michael and Calum were having, when I feel my phone vibrate.
I look at it and see a message from Tabby, I instantly smile. She's the greatest friend in the whole world.
"Hey, Maddie! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Haha, that's for both you and Luke," the message said, making me smile again. I nudge Luke to get his attention.
"Tabby says Happy Birthday, Luke!" I told him, earning a smile. He tells me to say thank you, which I do. We arrive in the parking lot of the restaurant within the next 5 minutes, and pile out.
I get out and smooth out my dress, then feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn and see those all too familiar, dark chocolate brown eyes I adore, and I instantly smile.
"I know I've told you this a million times, but seriously, you look so beautiful, baby," Calum whispered, tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear. I felt a blush creep its way onto my face, making it a red tint.
"Thank you, Calum. I appreciate these compliments, I really do. I love you so much," I whispered back, looking straight into his brown irises.
"I love you so much, too, baby. More than words could ever express," he replied back, leaning down and kissing me on the cheek. I smile again and I feel our hands intertwine, and I hear our hearts beating in time.
As we're walking into the restaurant, I accidentally bump into someone. I quickly start throwing apologies, when I'm cut off by an all too familiar voice.
"Maddie, happy birthday!" I'm pulled into a hug by Tabby and instantly hug back, sighing in relief.
"Tabby! What are you doing here?" I ask her excitedly. She laughs and pulls away.
"I was actually on my way to go eat something, but then I saw you and wanted to come over and say hi. Oh, nice to see you again, Calum," she replied, greeting Calum politely.
"Oh, why don't you join the boys and I, then?" I offered, gesturing to the restaurant we were about to walk in. She looked at it, then back to me and shook her head.
"I couldn't make you do that. I especially couldn't make you spend money on me," she remarked, biting her lip lightly.
"Tabby, you don't need to worry about that, it's fine. Come join us, please. It is still our birthday after all," I replied, looking at her with pleading eyes. She sighed and gave in, walking with us inside the restaurant.
"TABBY!" Luke shouted when he caught a glimpse of her. I looked at him when he went to hug her, smirking and wiggling my eyebrows.
I sat down and Calum sat down next to me, intertwining our fingers underneath the table. I smiled and played with his fingers intently, finding them the most interesting things in the world. Well, apart from him in general.
*** After the restaurant
Tabby joined us back at the hotel, because as a birthday present from her and the others, I found out she's coming on tour with us! I will finally have a female friend, thank you.
We're watching Mean Girls. Well, Luke is at least. Tabby and I are in Luke's, Calum's, and my shared bedroom talking about our favorite things. Starting with color, food, movie, song, bands, all that shit.
