Maddie's POV

"Maddie?" I look up from my spot on the couch I'm lying on, getting met with the tired gaze of Calum.

"Yes?" I question, biting my lip in concern.

"I, uhm, I'm still really sorry about yesterday," he looked ashamed as he walked over and sat down next to me.

"Hey, Calum, it's okay. I already told you, you have nothing to be sorry for. If anything, I'm the one who needs to say sorry. I am the one who just assumed something without talking to you first," I rubbed his back and looked at him, seeing his puffy eyes breaks my heart. He's too handsome to cry.

"I still shouldn't have hidden things from you," he mumbles quietly, then sighs deeply.

"Babe, hey, it's fine. Don't beat yourself up over this," I shake my head and brush some hair out of his face. "It is perfectly fine."

"This is why I love you," he whispers as he pulls me close and lies down, his head resting on my chest. A content sigh escapes his lips once I begin running my fingers through his hair.

"I love you, too. Even when you're a pain in the ass," I laugh and bite my lip, feeling his fingers intertwine with my other one.

"You're not wrong," he shrugs and laughs, then looks up at me. "Hey, I have a surprise for you later today."

"You know I hate surprises," I groan, still running my fingers through his hair.

"Trust me, you'll love this one." He smiles as he brings my hand up to his lips, then leaves a soft kiss on the back of it. I smile and turn away, hiding the small blush as it appears.

"Okay. If you say so," I laugh again, playing with his fingers. I could feel him relax at my touch, his breathing slow. Aw, he looks so tired. My thought was proved right when I see his eyes are closed, and he is snoring quietly.

"Well," I jump a little and look towards the stairs, meeting Luke's gaze. "It looks like you two made up."

I glance at Calum, then look at Luke again and nod. "Yeah, we did. He explained everything, and we both apologized," I whisper, not wanting him to wake up. Luke walks the rest of the way down the stairs and kisses my forehead, then sits across from us on the recliner.

"He came over last night and he looked extremely guilty. I had him explain everything before I let him go upstairs to see you," Luke expatiates as he gestures to Calum sleeping against me.

"Thank you," I whisper again, grateful that Luke allowed Calum to see me. My eyes glance down to Calum again, and I carefully run my thumb over his bottom lip so he won't wake.

"Mads," Luke gains my attention again, my eyes averting his direction. I hum quietly in response. "You make him so happy," his voice sounds thankful, and I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"More like he makes me so happy," I correct. "I never knew how relationship love felt like, until we started dating. He has shown me a whole different perspective of life," the smile on my face grows just thinking about the past year Calum and I have had together.

"I know I said I wouldn't allow any of them to date you, but I'm really glad you changed my mind on the subject. As long as you're happy, I'm perfectly fine with it. It breaks my heart seeing you upset," Luke confesses, which I nod in response to because I agree with him.
