Maddie's POV

8 o'clock. Finally. I rub my swollen and tired eyes and go into the bathroom. I put my hair up in a messy bun and brush my teeth, then turn the light off on my way out. With my phone already in my pocket, I grab a piece of paper and write a note. My keys in hand, I rush out to the car and get in. With a quick start, I buckle up and begin the drive into town.

A ton of traffic later, I get to where I need to be. I park the car and turn it off, then unbuckle and get out and rush inside the building. I gulp harshly as I walk up to the front desk and the man behind the counter looks up at me. "Hello, how may I help you this morning?"

I look around the room to make sure nobody is watching me, then lean in and whisper as quietly as I can. "I need to take $10,000 out of my account." The man looks at me with pure shock.

"Are you sure?" I bite my lip and look around the room again, then take the note out of my pocket and slide it to him and whisper once more.

"Please. My finacé is in trouble and if someone sees me doing this, I will be too." He takes the note and reads it.

'Please contact the police for me. My finacé was taken last night and the person in charge of it all wants $10,000. He has someone watching my every move and if he finds out about this note, my finacé could be in serious trouble. I am meeting him at the abandoned warehouse by the docks at 10 a.m. sharp. I know I could go to the police but, as I said, I am supposed to be withdrawing money from my account. I still need the money but, I need the police more than anything. Help me, please.'

The man clears his throat after he is done reading it and looks at me. "What is the name of the account?"

"Madison Rose Hemmings." He nods and pulls it up on the computer, then starts the withdraw and whispers to me.

"I will contact the police as soon as you leave, I promise." He hands me the money in multiple envelopes and I put them in my purse.

"Thank you," I whisper as I quickly leave the building and go back to the car. Once I am in, I breathe shakily and rest my head back against the seat. I buckle up and start driving again, not knowing what to do to kill time. Since I am exhausted, I could get some coffee or something to keep me awake. I sigh and drive to the nearest Starbucks, then walk inside and wait in the line.

I order a venti caramel macchiato and sit down, and wait for it to be called. My mind races with different scenarios of what could happen if I got caught giving the guy at the bank my note. I tap my foot anxiously and rub my temples, then look up once my drink is called. I get it and then leave, and get back in the car. I start driving once more and bite my lip harshly and go back to the house.

Once I am inside, I sit down on the couch and take a sip of my coffee and pull my phone out of my pocket. I unlock it and open up my pictures, and look at each one of them. There are ones of me and Luke with our family, and ones of the others with their families in my gallery. There are also some of me and Tabby with the guys. Tabby. I haven't even told her about the engagement because she has been busy with work. If I remember correctly, she had a day off today.

I bite my lip and close the app, then open up my contacts and scroll to Tabby's. My thumb hovers over her name and I build up the courage to press call. I put the phone up to my ear and take a deep breath, just hoping she will answer.

"Hey, Mads. What is up?"

"H-hey, Tabs," I whisper out shakily, "I, uhm, there is something I need to tell you. Well, two things."

"Is everything okay?"

"Uhm. First of all, I am engaged. Calum proposed the other night."

"Mads, that is amazing! Why did you not tell me?"
