A/N: Read the A/N at the end for my SLFL experience. Only if you'd like, though. Okay, let's get into this chapter.

Maddie's POV

"Well, he's not going to get near you ever again. I'm putting a stop to this," Calum said before pulling out his phone and going into the bedroom, shutting the door behind him.

"Fuck!" I curse out loud and run after him, barging into the room and taking his phone away from him.

"Maddie, what the hell are you doing? Give me back my phone!" He demanded. I shook my head and kept it, holding it behind my back.

"Calum, as much as I appreciate you trying to make this stop, I can't have you do it. It'll only make things worse and I can't put anyone in danger, especially you guys," he looked at me with pleading eyes.

"Maddie, this can't keep happening. You've already gone through so much and none of us wants to see it happen again, especially Luke. Please, give me back my phone," he retaliated. I bit my lip and squeezed my eyes shut, trying to stop the tears that were forming from rapidly cascading down my face.

"Calum please," I whispered. "I don't want anyone else getting hurt, especially not you. I care too much about all of you to have anything happen," I responded, then stopped.

"Actually, go ahead. Mike deserves to know what happened, " I responded before giving him his phone back and hugging him quickly as reassurance for me, pushing away all possible scenarios of keeping my distance. He hugged me back and rested his chin on my head. It was in this moment that I realized I really liked Calum and I felt safe with him around. It's cliche, but it's true.

I let go and told him that I want to join in with him on the conversation. He agreed and we sat down on one of the bunks as he dialed Mike's number and put it on speaker. Mike answered on the third ring.

"Hello?" Mike asked through the phone.

"Hey Mike. It's Calum and I was calling to inform you about your son, Logan," Calum told Mike.

"Ah, yes. What is it, Cal?" He asked.

"Are you aware that Logan and Maddie used to date and that he started abusing her?" He informed.

"He did it again?!? Hang on a minute please," he replied.

The line went dead silent and it killed me.I was getting more nervous with every passing second we sat in silence. I started having a panic attack and tapped Calum's shoulder to get his attention. He looked at me and worry flashed across his face. He grabbed onto my hands and made me face him.

"Maddie, calm down. Take deep breaths, shh. It's okay, I promise. Everything will be fine, okay. Deep breaths with me. Take a deep breath in and hold it," he said as I took one and held it, before letting it out slowly.

"There you go, you're getting it. Deep breath in, hold it, slowly let it out. Shh, it's okay. I'm right here, it's okay," he stated, finally sensing me calming down. I nodded and fully calmed down.

"Thank you, Calum. How did you know how to do that?" I asked. He lightly chuckled before replying.

"I've helped Michael with his a lot and also Luke. They have them sometimes and well, apparently, I'm the only one who can calm them down. Ash has tried but he couldn't do it, so I tried. Luke says you and I are the only ones who can calm him down and I honestly don't believe it. I think you're the only one who can do it and he's just being nice," He replied and lightly laughed at the end. I chuckled slightly and shook my head.

"No, you're quite good at it yourself. Thank you again, Cal," I responded while looking into his eyes. He smiled and looked into my eyes back, slowly leaning in. I found myself doing the same and met him halfway, our lips finally colliding. The kiss was just how I imagined it to be, gentle and perfect. We pulled away after a few seconds and just sat there in silence, me trying to hide my out of control blushing.
