{Chapter Five}

Maddie's POV

I slowly wake up and look around the back room, noticing I'm the only one left. I sigh and get out of the bunk, immediately falling due to my numb legs. I shake my head in embarrassment and slowly get back up off the ground. I lazily walk out into the hallway, going towards the bathroom. I reach the door and turn the knob to open it, before walking in.

As soon as I open the door, I see Calum naked in the bathroom. He jumps at the sound of the door opening, looking at me through the mirror, with me awkwardly standing there, trying not to look back.

"Oh, u-uhm, I'm so s-sorry, Calum," I reply embarrassed. "This is so awkward," I add in, before backing out of the bathroom and accidentally running into Michael.

"Woah. Careful there, Maddie," he tells me.

"Sorry Michael. I didn't see you there," I reply while quickly running into the living area. I quickly walk to the fridge in the kitchen, grabbing a water bottle and taking a big drink, trying to hide my flustered face.

"Hey Mads. What's up with you?" Luke asked. I go wide eyed for a second, then bite my lip.

"Uhm,"I pause, knowing better to trust my instinct and NOT tell them. That, however, doesn't last very long because Michael decides to open his big mouth.

"She just, " Michael stopped as Calum walked into the room, looking at me. I internally freak out, while the room stays silent, my brother and Calum looking at me.

"She just saw Calum naked!" Michael suddenly shouts to everyone. I go wide eyed again while looking at my brother, then to Calum. I run out of the room, trying to get away from the awkward tension that you could cut with a knife.

Calum's POV

We all climb into the car a few hours later, heading to an interview. I got in the car, sitting in the back by the window. Maddie came out last, so she ended up having to sit next to me. "Great, let the awkwardness begin." I thought to myself as Maddie crawled in next to me.

The car ride is filled with awkward silence, making me uncomfortable. I brush off every nasty glare that Luke sends my way the entire ride to the interview. As we arrive into the parking lot, I lock eyes with Maddie. We look into each other's eyes for a few seconds, before she turns away. We park and get out of the car, going in through a back entrance.

A few minutes after arrival, we're called out to start the interview. Maddie had to join, too, meaning she had to sit next to one of us. Of course, it happens to be me. I'm not complaining having to sit next to her, it's just extremely awkward now.

The interview was very awkward and uncomfortable for me, and I noticed it was for Maddie, too. Especially since we were sitting next to each other. Luke giving me nasty looks constantly didn't help either. After what felt like forever, the interview finally ended. We all leave after thanking the lady for having us, and after stopping to take pictures with fans. We get back into the car, heading to the hotel where our driver took the bus during the interview.

We get checked in and figure out the rooming situation. There are two rooms, meaning Ash and Michael have to share one, and Luke, Maddie, and I have to share the other. We head to our rooms, going our separate ways when we get to the 5th floor.

We walk in and notice there are only two beds, both full sized. I look at Luke then to Maddie, all of our reactions being the same.

"Well," Luke spoke up. "Looks like we're sharing a bed, Mads," He said. I mentally sigh, disappointed with Luke's comment.

"Ugh. I hate sharing a bed with you, Luke. You're too tall for it. Can't I just sleep with Calum? You hog the entire bed and steal all the covers," Maddie replies.

"No, you're not going to sleep with Calum. You're sharing a bed with me and that's final," Luke replied sternly. Maddie rolled her eyes and set her stuff down, walking straight out of the room.

I look at Luke and notice he's angry. I shrug and go lay down on one of the beds, pulling out my phone. I heard Luke groan, before leaving the room too, most likely to find Maddie. I decide to go to Michael and Ashton's room, not wanting to be near Luke at the moment.
