Maddie's POV
"That movie was amazing," Calum proclaimed excitedly. I chuckled and nodded, looking at him.
"I told you! This is like my favorite movie ever," I stated, shutting off my laptop. I looked at the time and realized it was half an hour till we leave for the show. I nudged Calum and got his attention again.
"Cal, we leave in half an hour! I'm not even close to ready. I have to redo my hair and make-up because it looks awful from sleeping and crying," I almost shouted, rushing into the bathroom. He sighed and followed, standing in the doorway.
"Baby, you look fine. You don't need make-up, you're beautiful without it," he told me while I was brushing through my messy and tangled hair. I turned my body towards him and cocked an eyebrow.
"Okay, but I still need to do something with my hair. It's a mess," I informed, chuckling lightly. He playfully rolled his eyes and walked into the room, standing behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist with his head resting on top of my head.
"It looks perfectly fine, baby. I like your hair how it is, it's so pretty," he stated, running his fingers through it. I smiled and set down my brush, picking up my toothbrush and toothpaste. I brushed my teeth and put everything away, going to grab my clothes. I shooed Calum out of the bathroom so I could change, then came out and let him have it.
I chose to wear one of Luke's Nirvana t-shirts, my black skinny jeans, and black converse. As soon as Calum came out of the bathroom, we headed out. We got in one of the black vans, Calum, Luke and I sitting in the back. I sat in the middle, with Calum on my left next to the window and Luke on my right next to the door.
We pulled up shortly after, then piled out. There were a bunch of fans waiting where they knew the vans and bus would be, so we stopped by and talked to a few of them. I mainly stayed in the back behind the guys, knowing not to intrude on their conversations.
I sent a small smile Luke and Calum's way when they looked behind them, noticing me. I spotted Luke walking over to me, even though I tried waving him off. He pulled me with him back to where him and Calum were, then went back to talking to some fans. I was immediately bombarded with nasty comments, which I tried to ignore.
I looked down and shuffled my feet, blocking out the comments as best as I could. I looked up when I felt an arm wrap around my waist, seeing Calum sending me a small smile. I barely returned it, spotting Michael and Ashton walking over to us three.
People kept throwing rude comments my way, making me more upset than I was. I was about to turn away, when I heard someone shout.
"Hey!" I looked up and noticed it was Calum who said that. He looked down at me and rubbed my back reassuringly. I hadn't realized I was crying till he wiped his thumb under my eyes, wiping away the fresh tears. It was dead silent, nobody daring to say a word. I sighed and bit my lip, whispering quietly enough for him to hear.
"Calum, please don't," I pleaded, my voice quivery and cracking with every word. He looked down at me again, sending me an apologetic look.
He nodded and sent me another small smile, then walked off inside with the others. I stood there with my back towards the fans for a few minutes, then took a deep breath and turned around. I saw a blonde-haired, blue eyed girl about my age and slightly shorter than me waving frantically for me to come over.
I walked over and gave her my best fake smile, nervously shaking.
"Hi Maddie! I love you so much, you're so beautiful. Don't listen to those people who are sending hate, you don't deserve it. You're my favorite person ever, well, apart from your brother," she told me, giving me a bright smile.
