Chapter 4

Ava's P.O.V

After our family moment, I finally decided to go take a shower while the opportunity was here "I'm going to go and have a quick shower" I say to Daryl and Hunter as I get off the bed that the three of us squeezed onto Hunter just gave a slight nod and a mumbled OK, he was just so happy his dad was here and had his arms wrapped around him he was a daddy's boy, while Daryl just gave me a look of love and nodded, so I went to my back pack and took some clothes out (picture above) then headed to the shower shut the door I didn't bother to lock it since I knew Daryl was just outside the door, stripped my clothes off and put the shower on, waited a few minutes till it got nice and hot and the steam slowly raising up towards the roof and got in and started to wash myself, shampoo my hair and was even happier when I saw a razor and started to shave my legs and my underarms after I had done that I just stood under the water for while just enjoying it, til I heard the bathroom door open "Daryl?" I questioned out "s'ok Av it's me" he replied I slightly opened the shower curtain to look at him strip out of his clothes and walk towards me "what are you doing Mr Dixon?" I looked at him with a look full of love and lust "what does it look like Mrs Dixon?" he smirked back at me I could also see the love and lust in his own eyes as he got under the hot water "whoa wait" I said to him slightly pushing him back away from me, he gave me a look of confusion before I continued "where's Hunter?" "don't worry Ava he's down stairs, with the group I think he's having a sandwich and some orange juice" he said to me I couldn't help but let a laugh escape my lips when Daryl said that "again?, he is so your son a endless pit" this also made Daryl laugh "he sure is Avie" "he already had two not long before you showed up" I replied as I started to slowly wash his chest which made him let out a low moan "I can't believe your really here, I was so worried about you dare so was Hunter he kept asking me if you were alive and looking for us every day and every night and I always said the same thing" I said but stopped to make him turn around so I could wash his back, and he started to wash his hair which I noticed was getting slightly longer, it was long but compared to when I last saw him it had "which was?" he asked me I smiled then continued "I would say your dad is strong Hunter he Is alive and looking for us right now with your uncle" as I said that he tensed up slightly while I realized I hadn't seen him with the other people he turned up with "dare...where is Merle?" I asked he then turned around letting the water wash the shampoo out of his hair, he looked up at me with his eyes full of hurt which made me think the worst "dare" I repeated he took a deep breath before saying "I don't know Ava" I opened my mouth to question him more but he beat me to it "let's get out we've been in here longer enough" "right" I said as he turned off the shower and I got out dried off and got dressed "talk bout this later?" I questioned "mm hmm" I let a sigh escape my lips as I walked towards the bathroom door "meet me outside for a smoke?" that made him happier I smiled a big smile at him "I got some a few days back" I said and walked back over to him just as he zipped up his jeans and buckled up his belt and kissed him 'god I missed these lips of his' I thought he then licked my bottom lip wanting his tongue inside my mouth I answered my slightly opening my mouth when his tongue connected with mine I let out a semi loud moan which made him smirk against my lips 'cocky lil shit' I thought then I pulled back which left him with a bit of a pout "haha dare pick up ya lip, we will continue later, now hurry up" I said as I turned around opened the bathroom door then shut it, walked over to get my weapon's put on my holsters (pictures below) and put my crossbow over my shoulder then headed out the door and back downstairs.

"mummy can I go outside with Carl?" I heard Hunter ask me as I got into the lounge area "sure I'm going out there now, but is Carl able to? What did Lori say?" Hunter was bout to answer me when Lori did "Carl really wants to go outside and I was going to get some fresh air so Hunter can come out if it's OK with you, plus I think Carl and Hunter are becoming friends" "OK cool I will come with you outside I was on my way out there anyway" I replied as we made our way towards to front door I suddenly stopped "I will be out in a minute, Hunter be careful don't run around to much because of your asthma and cause Carl has to also take it easy" "k mom" he answered as he walked out with Carl and Lori she gave me a confused look "I'm going to introduce myself to the others in there that I haven't meet yet" then I went back to where I saw Glenn, T-Dog and Rick "hey Ava feeling better?, looks like Hunter is doing fine" Rick said I smiled as I put my crossbow down against the wall near me "I'm feeling better now that I know Hunter is, it's good to see Carl is on his feet and better as well" I replied then looked around the room "hi I'm Ava Daryl's wife" I say to a old looking man with short white hair with a friendly face and shook his hand I did however notice the surprised looks on their faces when I said I was Daryl's wife "hi Ava, nice to meet you I'm Dale" he said with a smile "hi I'm Andrea" said the woman with blonde hair which was tied up in a low pony tail "Carol hi" said the other woman she had short grey hair and looked to be a bit older than Daryl maybe Merle's age, she seemed like a nice lady though she sounded sad "hi there I'm Shane" said the man with black hair and dark brown eyes he seemed a little off to me but then again this is the first time meeting these people besides Glenn and Rick I looked towards T-Dog who was sitting down in a chair "how's ya arm?" "good thanks" he replied "well everyone I'm gonna be outside having a smoke, if there is anything you need help with let me know" I smiled, grabbed my crossbow then headed outside but stopped when I saw Hershel in the kitchen with Maggie and another girl with longish blonde hair that was also put up in a pony tail, I walked in I had to thank him again for what he done for my son "Hershel" I said to get his attention he looked up at me with a slight smile "yes Ava? Was it?" I nodded my head "yes, I just wanted to thank you again Hershel for what you did for my son, I can't thank you enough you helped me and my son when you didn't even know us plus having to look after Carl. An Maggie thank you as well for making me and my son something to eat we really appreciate it so if there is anything you need help with just let me know I will help in anyway I can" "your welcome don't worry about it I could not just turn you and your son away when he was having a asthma attack and you were getting close to having a panic attack, I will take you up on your offer to help when or if we need it" Hershel said back to me "and me making a couple of sandwiches is nothing, so don't mention it" Maggie also told me I could tell we were gonna get along great me and her, I then turned towards the young blonde girl and held out my hand "hi, I'm Ava, nice to meet you" "hi I'm Beth, Maggie is my older sister, Hershel is my dad" she answered as she to shook my hand "well I better go outside and check on my son, thanks again, and nice to meet you Beth" I said as I turned away and headed outside just as I sat down on the porch step not to far from Lori I heard the door open again I turned slightly to see it was just Daryl he sat beside me and I took out my packet of smokes and gave him one while I put one between my lips and lit it "I'm gonna take Carl inside for a bit to rest I don't want him to over do it" Lori said to us I nodded "OK" I replied as she went and got Carl and helped him inside, once she shut the front door Hunter came running up to us but stopped once he saw the warning look I was giving him which made him slow to a walk "sorry mom" he said as he got to us "it's OK Hunter, but you have to take it easy as well, actually I want you in that bedroom in bed resting OK young man?" "oohh but mom" Hunter started till Daryl cut him off "listen to your mom son, I heard that you were having a asthma attack, you need rest so go on up to the bedroom me and your mom will be there shortly" "OK" Hunter replied as he slipped between us an inside. "We still gotta talk bout Merle" i quietly said, he let out a huff but replied with a soft "yea i know, i just don't know how Hunter is gonna react" this got my attention and I was getting worried bout my brother in-law, so I just moved closer to Daryl and held his hand but not so anyone could see I know Daryl doesn't like PDA. I was just glad he was here and I could tell he was happy me and our son was here and safe.
