While foraging in the woods, Carol bloodily kills a walker then painstakingly recomposes her appearance before making and distributing acorn and beet cookies to the children and her friends in Alexandria. She is shaken when Rick returns saying they will have to fight, and visits Sam Anderson's grave. Morgan finds her there and asks why they haven't talked since they fought in the basement several week ago. It turns out that Carol convinced Denise, Eugene, Tara and Rosita to keep quiet about the incident, on the pretense of protecting Denise, though Carol seems less certain now about who it is that she's protecting. Carol leaves a cookie on Sam's grave, troubled over who is going to die next.

Rick calls a meeting and lays out the deal with The Hilltop and explains how the Savior's nearly killed Sasha, Abraham and Daryl and it would only be a matter of time before they found Alexandria. Morgan proposes that stating their willingness to fight might be enough to stop the Saviors, but Rick disagrees and won't give up the initiative, preferring to make a pre-emptive sneak attack against the Saviors and kill them all.

Sleepless that night, Carol opens a diary which seems to be a list of the people she has killed: Ryan, Karen and David at the prison and Lizzie, also approximately seven at Terminus and seven wolves. She totals it to 18 lives taken, circling the number as it weighs on her conscience. Carol walks aimlessly, smoking again, and finds Tobin also restless. Tobin admits that Carol can do things that terrify him, and says that she's still a mom, that she has that strength toward most of the people in Alexandria, but she means something else to him. She kisses him.

Maggie and Glenn are worried, too. As negotiator for the deal Maggie feels she has a moral imperative to see it through, though she suggests she takes a perimeter position keeping watch.

Ava's P. O. V

Hunter and Crystal were going to stay at Rick's house with Carl and Judith, I know I was probably pushing my luck but I was gonna ask Michonne for a favor so I went to go see her.

"Hey Michonne, uh can I ask ya for a favor?" I ask her as we sit outside Rick's house on the door step "sure, what is it?" She asked me, I took a breath "ok, so ya can say no if ya want, but I wanted to spend some time with Daryl tonight" I saw her smile at me "and I was wondering if ya could watch Venus and Levi for the night? Hunter and Crystal are gonna be here so they can help and Crystal just loves em and" she cuts me off "course I will watch them, Hunter can hang with Carl, me and Crystal will watch em and Judith, it's fine honestly" "Thanks! michonne ya day best!" I smile at her "I will bring em over now with some formula" I say as I give her a quick hug then stand up to go to mine and Daryl's house.

When u got inside I saw Crystal "hey Cris, can ya help me with the twins?" "Sure, so Michonne said yes?" I smiled at her "yup, right I put the formula in the bag, I'll go get Levi, you go get Venus, then we will take them to Rick's, oh I also told Michonne that you would be keen to help her with Levi and Venus and maybe even Judith" "yea course I will"

I just got back from Rick's house, now I was gonna go for a quick shower so I went up into our room and pulled out a little pale pink nightie out and smirked 'he should like this' I thought while chuckling to myself then headed to the bathroom to have a shower when I was finished I got dressed and posed myself near the bed
