Chapter 14 - Goodbye Farm

Ava's P. O. V

"Where's Carl?! I can't find him, I told him to stay inside but he's not there" Lori yelled panicked "come on, we will have another look, or maybe he's gone with Rick and Shane?" "That's still dangerous for him" I say as I make my way inside as well 'Hunter you better still be in day bedroom' I thought while running up the stairs two at a time as I got to the door and pushed it open my heart stopped "no!" I shouted "Hunter! Where are ya?" I yelled as I opened the bathroom door just to see it empty "on God no" I say the fear gripping at my voice as I spin around an run out the bedroom and downstairs where I saw Lori and Carol running up to them "Hunter! Where is he? Have you seen him?" I shout they both look up at me sadness written across their faces I turned around again and ran outside and down the steps "hey! Where are you going?" I heard someone yell at me "to find my son!" I shout back not bothering to turn around "Av! Wait" I realized the voice was Maggie's as she ran up to me "you can't go out by yourself! Can't you hear them!" She continued as she managed to grab my arm making me stop "wha" I said getting cut off by the sound of walker's and not just a few of them either it was a huge hoard just then the smell hit me "oh God" "come on, come with me" Maggie begged I shook my head "no" I told her while I yanked my wrist free from her grasp "I'm going to find my son, you go back I can protect myself" I say, I then gave her a quick hug 'be safe" I yell at her while I run off

I was killing walkers left right and center, but more just kept coming I saw a few cars leave the farm while running walkers over that got in their way, I also heard the roar of Daryl's bike but I still couldn't find Hunter 'at least Dare is ok' I think as I shoot and stab my way towards the barn that had caught on fire 'could it be Rick?' I think as my knife goes into another walker's head. Suddenly I hear a scream for help making me turn my head slightly, I wasn't gonna drop my guard for a second with so many walker's around, but managed to see that it was Carol near the stables trying to protect herself with a piece of wood she was about to be a goner till Andrea came and shot the walker saving Carol, telling her to run next thing I know is Andrea was on the ground with walker's on top of her. But I kept going I was going to find my son no matter what

"Mom!" That made me look up from the ground to see Rick, Carl and Hunter on top of the RV that was parked just outside the barn which was still on fire he was safe, my boy was OK no scratches on him, he was fine. That gave me the strength to stab the walker that pushed me to the ground in between the eye's "Hunter!" I yelled at him staggering to my feet knife still in front of me for protection towards the RV catching him, once I reached the back of it once I caught him in my arm's, I heard a scream come from inside the RV but I couldn't stay round here Rick had grabbed my arm once he and Carl got off the RV "quick, come on" he shouted at me Carl was on his other side also gripping his hand "I'll be right behind ya Rick" I shouted an quickly put Hunter down right beside me "stay with us Hunt" I tell him as I draw out my gun's and start shooting the walkers coming at us Rick also shooting them "quick to that car" I heard him say I just nodded at him we were at the car and I quickly put Hunter in the back seat with Carl, Rick opening the driver's side door as I was bout to open the passenger door I caught Hershel in the corner of my eye standing his ground just outside his house shooting walker's with his shot gun "Hershel, I gotta get him, wait for me" I tell Rick as I make my way towards him "Hershel!!" I yell at him as I sink my knife into a oncoming walker "quick, come with me" he opened his mouth to say something but I didn't want to hear it so I just forcefully grabbed his wrist making my way back to the car Rick I was waiting for us in pushing Hershel in the front next to Rick, while I jumped in the back by Hunter who instantly wrapped his arms around me once I was in, my arm's also wrapped around him tears slowly falling from my eye's "Hunter, I'm so glad your alright" I tell him "I'm sorry mom" "it's OK, your OK and dats day main thing" "where's dad mom?" He asked me, my heart suddenly stopped right then and there. Where was Daryl? I hadn't seen him since he left to look for Rick, but I was with Rick and Daryl wasn't with him 'oh god' I thought to myself an just hugged our son tighter "he's OK Hunt" I tell him 'he better be, he fuckin promised me'
