Following their assault on the Savior's everyone resumes their normal activities in Alexandria. Morgan finishes reinforcing his jail cell, telling Rick it will give them options in the future. Rosita wakes up in bed with Spencer, a relationship which seems to mean more to him than it does to her.
Carol, still troubled by her experiences with the Savior's, confides in Daryl, who tells her he wishes he had killed the people he was with previously in the brunt out forest.
Ava's P. O. V
It's been a few day's since I was taken by the Savior's along with Maggie and Carol, and we are all still troubled about it. Maggie is getting through her experience with them, with the help of Glenn, and Carol has been confiding with Daryl, and I know it shouldn't bother me cause she needs someone to talk to, but I also need my husband here with me, helping me through this just as much; hell even more than Carol but every time I want to talk with him about it, he says he's going to talk to Carol and when I try to tell him 'what bout me' it's too late and he's out the door.
"Mom?" I hear hunter as he knocks on the bedroom door and I quickly wipe away my tears as he opens the door "are you ok?" I hear Crystal say from behind him "yah I'm fine, what's up?" I ask them "where's dad? He said he was gonna help me with some new bolts" Hunter said and I used all my will power to not cry "Hunt, why don't you go find him?, I'll stay with your mom, sister and brother" "k" was Hunter's only reply along with a kiss to Crystal's cheek before leaving, and Crystal walking up to me "wanna talk about it? Don't say no, cause I can see your hurting" she says while giving me a side hug with one of her arms and I can't help the tears from falling "it feels like Daryl doesn't have time for me anymore, can he see that I'm hurting as well? I just want my husband Cris, I want him to be in your spot, but instead he's off with Carol and comforting her instead of me" "shhh Ava, your strong you will get through this" I suddenly got angry "STRONG!? HA CRIS IM NOT FUCKIN STRONG AT ALL IF I WAS THAT SICK CUNT WOULDN'T HAVE" I stopped short "please look after Venus and Levi" and then I left quickly out the door and out of the house 'I can't believe I almost told my son's girlfriend what happened to me' I think bitterly to myself.

Denise asks Daryl and Rosita to accompany her to a nearby pharmacy that might be stocked with drugs and other medicine. Daryl and Rosita ask Denise to stay behind, but she insists that she’s ready to go outside the walls. The three are forced to travel on foot after encountering a tree blocking the road. They arrive at the pharmacy, where Daryl and Rosita raid the shelves.
Meanwhile, Denise enters a back room where she finds a trapped walker and a sink filled with blood and possibly a drowned child. Horrified, she runs out of the pharmacy, where she is soon re-joined by Daryl and Rosita, who praise her for leading them to the medicine.

Meanwhile, a more confident Eugene takes Abraham to an industrial machine shop, where Eugene announces he is going to use the shop to manufacture ammunition. A walker approaches, but Eugene is unable to kill it since the walker's head was drenched in liquid metal. Abraham steps in and kills it, which upsets Eugene, who insists he could have killed the walker himself. Eugene tells Abraham he doesn't need his help anymore, and Abraham leaves, telling Eugene to find his own way home.

On their way back to Alexandria, Denise spots a cooler inside a car inhabited by a walker. Ignoring Daryl and Rosita’s warnings, she goes after the cooler. After an intense struggle, she kills the walker by herself and proudly displays a can of orange soda that was in the cooler. Daryl scolds Denise for almost getting herself killed, but Denise says she needed the experience and specifically asked Daryl and Rosita to accompany her so she could learn from their strengths.
Suddenly, a crossbow bolt strikes Denise through the eye from behind, killing her. Dwight, who stole Daryl’s motorcycle, emerges from the woods with Daryl’s crossbow and a group of armed Saviors, as well as a captured Eugene. Dwight, whose face has severe burn scars on one side, orders Daryl to lead his group to Alexandria. Spotting Abraham, Eugene claims they have a friend hiding behind some nearby oil barrels, urging Dwight to kill him first. As Dwight sends a Savior to investigate, Eugene bites Dwight in the crotch and Abraham opens fire. A shootout ensues and Eugene is hit in the crossfire. After several Saviors are killed, Dwight retreats with his remaining men.

After returning to Alexandria, Abraham and Eugene apologize to each other for their issues on the road. Abraham then goes to Sasha's house, where he implies his feelings toward her. Daryl and Carol bury Denise in Alexandria, with Daryl feeling guilt over Denise's death. So Carol gives him a hug, not knowing that Ava was watching.
Ava's P. O. V
I saw Daryl and Carol bury Denise, and I felt sad for Daryl I knew he would be feeling guilty for her death, and started to walk up to them so I could comfort Daryl but stopped when I saw them embrace each other "sorry for interrupting" I say bitterly making Carol let go "oh no Carol don't stop on the account his wife's here seems to me I'm doing a fuckin useless jib at being one since my husband doesn't bother to come to me for comfort and I can't go to him" I spit out she looked down before mumbling a 'sorry' then walked away Daryl looked at me with a hurt and confused face as I turned around to leave but he reached his hand out and grabbed my wrist "Ava, what da hell?" I snatch my wrist free and glare at him "what the hell?!, I'll tell you what the fuckin hell is dat when I look to you for comfort ya never fuckin there, ya always making sure Carol is alright, but fuckin hell Daryl what about me! Did ya even think of that?! No course not, did ya even ask me what went down in that fuckin place? No! All I got from you was a fuckin hug once we got out, and then ever since then ya been with Carol" Daryl went to open his mouth but I was just so angry I kept on yelling at him "do ya wanna know what that sick fuck did to me? Or are you more worries bout her! Well I'll quickly tell ya now so you can run back off to her, that fuckin cunt touched me Dare! He was so close to fuckin raping me if I didn't get out of those ropes when I did he would have fuckin killed me you are meant to be the only one that can touch me in the places he did" I stopped and feel to the ground "Ava, hun I didn't know" "no of course ya didn't Daryl cause ya haven't been with me since it happened, did ya know I don't sleep? Cause I'm to scared Dare, I'm scared I will get nightmares bout it again and I.........I can't fuckin do it" Daryl got on his knees on the ground with me and wrapped his arms around me tightly "I'm sorry Ava, I promise I'll be by your side I" "I fuckin love you Daryl, and I NEED you to promise me that you WILL be there for me, I can't do this by myself, plus look after Venus and Levi I just can't I need my husband, that fuckin dirty redneck that wouldn't let anything or anyone hurt me" "I WILL BE" "and I will be there for you Dare, I know how hard Denise's death hit you, and let me tell you this" I grab his face in between my hands "do NOT feel guilty bout it, cause it WASN'T your fault" I tell him he then pulls me into a hug "I'm sorry Ava, I just thought you were strong enough and didn't need me just now, but I was wrong and I'm sorry I'm so sorry, forgive me?" "I was hurting too, but ya don't need my forgiveness Dare, I need yours" "ya forgiven, I love ya always and forever member dat" "always and forever" we then help each other stand before wrapping each other in a hug
