Chapter 73

Jennifer's POV

'Ha! That stupid bitch has no idea' I thought to myself as I quickly held him closer to me as i ran through the forest and on my way towards where my older brother is, 

I bet she's crying over her son who she thinks is dead I smirk while I look down at the small infant boy in my arms SNAP!  that made me spin on my heals my eyes scanning the trees around me only spotting 2 walkers I carry on running deciding that just the 2 of them is nothing and carry on to where I know my brother and the rest of his group will be and I'll be safe.

A few minutes later I come up to a clearing and quickly see my brother standing in front of some people that I realize are from the same group as that bitch Ava is in 'hmm could that mean Daryl is there?' I think as I get closer I see him and quickly go into the RV to put the little brat away before stepping up towards my brother who by the looks of it is deciding on who to kill with 'Lucile' I see that this group hasn't noticed me yet so I keep quiet and just stand there, till my eyes catch that of Ava herself I smirk as she glares at me.

Ava's POV

We were all kneeling in front of this guy that calls himself Negan who was taunting us with his bat rapped in barb wire that he called "Lucille" saying eenie meenie miney mo while pointing to each of us, on the outside it might have looked like I didn't give a shit, but inside I was scared for my friends and family that was with me not to mention Daryl who was somewhere behind me and of course Hunter, Crystal and Venus which then made my thoughts go to Levi my poor baby boy at that tears started streaming down my cheeks, I was gonna kill that fucking bitch if it was the last thing I do was my thought before the devil herself appeared next to Negan her eyes caught mine and I gave her the deadliest glare I could while she smirked at me, I was boiling with rage looking at her 'I'm gonna fucking kill you, you bitch!' Is my thought, but just as I was about to move to attack her I heard the swoosh of Negan's bat coming down and to my horror I see it make contact with Abraham's head and can't believe my eyes at the sight, my eyes quickly go over to see Rosita who looks absolutely heart broken and devastated, my heart went out to her.

Third Person's POV

Upon seeing her reaction, Negan intimidates Rosita by ordering her to look at his bat covered in Abraham's blood. Enraged, Daryl leaps up and punches Negan, but is subdued to the ground harshly by two Saviors. Making Ava's heart pound in fear for her husband and slightly moving forward, but as punishment for Daryl's transgression, Negan retaliates by murdering Glenn, by also smashing his head in, the first hit didn't kill Glenn though his eye popped from it's socket and steams of blood running from his head, though before dying, Glenn murmurs to his wife, Maggie, that he will find her one day. Maggie and the rest of the group tearfully watch in horror as Negan repeatedly bashes Glenn's skull.

Rick is still reluctant and hasn't submitted to Negan, So Negan orders his men to point their guns to the back of everyone's heads and ties his belt around Carl's left arm.

Negan tells Carl to lie on the ground next to Rick and draws a line on his arm. He declares that Rick must cut off Carl's left arm, presenting Rick with an ultimatum: if his instructions are not followed, every member of the group will be killed.

Rick begs Negan to take him instead, offering himself up in his son's place. Impatient, Negan starts counting down from three, but Rick continues to struggle with the decision.

Despite his father's hesitation, Carl encourages his father to comply with Negan's request and chop his arm of with the axe. Anguished, Rick goes as far as raising his axe above his head ready to do it, but Negan, pleased by the submission of Rick, and stops him at the last second. Satisfied, Negan takes Daryl prisoner which breaks Ava's heart, Negan then tells the group they have one week to gather supplies for the Saviors.

After the group reels with shock and grief as the Saviors leave, Maggie, still sick from pregnancy complications, stumbles over to Glenn's remains.

Ava stumbles to her feet trying to hold her tears back with the fear of not knowing what Negan is going to do with Daryl, her heart clinching at the thought of telling her son Hunter that his dad is now held captive, though she still manages to go and pull Maggie into a powerful hug both crying over the lost of Glenn and Daryl.

When the two friends part from their hug, Rick tells Maggie they need to get her to the doctor at the Hilltop, and Ava nods her head in agreement, but Maggie insists that Rick head back to Alexandria and get ready to fight the Saviors.

Ava said she was going to go with Maggie but quickly changed her mind when the thought of her telling Hunter about Daryl, So Sasha volunteers to go with Maggie instead to keep her safe.

As Abraham and Glenn's bodies are loaded into the RV, Rick envisions an idyllic scene where the group peacefully eats dinner together in a non-existent future.

Back in harsh reality, Rick prepares to head back to Alexandria and gets in the RV, glancing in the side view mirror as he drives away. He sees a walker dropping to the ground, eating the remains of Abraham.
