Chapter 64

~~~Third person's view~~~

The church tower smashes three panels of the wall, and everyone scrambles for whatever shelter they can find as hundreds of walkers pour inside Alexandria. Eugene finds a walkie-talkie on the ground and yells "Help!" into it, before being rescued by Tara and Rosita. Maggie is forced up the ladder to a lookout post and lies back on the platform, trapped but out of sight from the walkers.

Ava's P. O. V

Me, Hunter and Crystal were just enjoying the twins when we suddenly heard a explosion "what the?" I mumble as I get up off the couch Hunter was holding Venus, while Crystal holds Levi "the church has fallen, we gotta go, and fast"I say to them "let's get some thick blankets so we can make some makeshift baby carriers" I say to Crystal as she gently hands Levi over to Hunter, and we make our way up the stairs towards the bedroom and grab some blankets so we can quickly make two baby carriers, once we have made them and put them on we rush back down stairs, Hunter puts Venus in front of me in the makeshift baby carrier and tightens it so she she pressed up against my chest, and double checks it to make sure it won't come undone when we make our run for it, him also doing the same with Levi in Crystal's makeshift carrier. Once we're ready to go I turn to them "make sure you two stay close, understand" they both nod their heads at me, I quickly lean over to Levi and kiss his forehead "love ya Levi, your in good hands" I whisper then look up to Crystal "please protect him" "I will" she says to me, I then kiss Venus's forehead also telling her I love her then gently hug Hunter "love you, stay close" "always mom". With my knife in hand, I open the door and we run our way out of Alexandria, me holding Venus close as possible to my chest, I see Crystal doing the same with Levi and Hunter right on our heals.

~~~Third person's view~~~

The home of Jessie hosts a group of Rick, Carl, Judith, Michonne, Father Gabriel, Deanna and her own sons Ron and Sam. They discover Deanna was bitten while saving Rick. Later, Carl checks on a distressed Ron who blames Rick for what's happening and lashes out at Carl, breaking a garage window and drawing the attention of walkers. Rick breaks down the interior garage door to get the boys out as the walkers enter; Carl covers for Ron but confiscates Ron's handgun.

Meanwhile, Carol runs with Morgan to take shelter in Morgan's house. Carol feigns a concussion in order to have Morgan drop his guard, and she attacks him and breaks into the basement. Denise has been locked down there treating the captured Wolf.

Carol bursts in and threatens the Wolf with a knife, but Morgan interposes himself between them. They fight and Morgan throws Carol to the concrete but Carol has created an opportunity for the Wolf to blindside Morgan.

Eugene picks the interior door lock of a garage to gain entry to the attached home. He, Tara and Rosita end up walking in on the Wolf who holds Carol's knife to Denise's throat, taking her hostage. They surrender their weapons to him, and the Wolf escapes with Denise.

Outside the wall, Glenn convinces Enid to enter Alexandria and help the others. They climb the wall opposite the breach and spot Maggie trapped atop a lookout post.

The damage Rick had caused allows the walkers to break through into Jessie's house, forcing everyone to retreat to the second floor. Knowing they will soon be overrun, Rick decides to make a desperate attempt at escape: he kills and guts two walkers, hoping they can camouflage themselves with their insides and pass through the herd. They slowly make it to the porch while Deanna, left behind, kills several walkers. Holding hands to stay together.

The group enters the walker-infested street, quiet but for a frightened Sam who repeatedly calls out for his mother.
