Pieces of me

I couldn't breathe
My chest was heavy.
I wasn't even blinking.
I just sat there staring at David who stood butt naked infront of me. Neither of us was moving, just stared at each other.

"I thought you..." I took that as my signal to get the hell out of his room.

I ran out in a mad dash and entered my room. Closed the door and leaned against it. With hand on my chest, I was breathing heavily. But deep deep down in my pervted soul, I was happy.

He got the body of a Greek god that I wanted a piece of but couldn't. He made all the pieces of me shiver in joy and sadness.

*After getting ready*

I made my way down stair into the kitchen to grab an Apple since Briana is buying me breakfast this morning.
It was really awkward when my eyes met David's eyes. I could see the sorry and concern in his eyes.

"Riley, I am..." He started but I cut in "No, its OK. It was an accident, I fell asleep in your room" I sighed as he gave me a small smile.

"But Riley, I should have been cautious, I knew you were there sleeping, I never expected the towel to fall neither you to be awake" He pushed his hair back and I felt fluffy inside as he was genuinely sorry but I enjoyed his towel revealing his sacred weapon of destruction.

"David chill, we are siblings remember, things like this happen" I smiled at him and he nod at me before digging into his cereal.

"Briana is picking me up so you can take my car but I might need a ride home" I placed the keys on the counter.

"No problem but Macy is riding with us, she is staying over for dinner" He walked out of the kitchen on that note and I hissed.

I didn't hate his girlfriend as I said before I actually helped them get together but now, I just want David for myself. I am jealous but he is happy and he is clearly enjoying her company so who am I to try and mess that up. I need a boyfriend, a distraction that I will eventually fall in love with and David will be out of the equation but then again, it has been so long and I think I have rejected most of the boys at my high school already. I am really hating this right now.

**At School**

"If you are gonna stare like that, he is gonna notice" I quickly turned my attention from David to Briana.

We were getting ready to jog around the track, it was gym class. One of two classes I have with my genius step brother. He was a nerd at heart but a jock in body. He was on the football team, not the star quarterback that was his best friend Mason. David, I guess doesn't like being stigmatized.
Ever seen those post on Facebook about "be careful who you call ugly in middle school"? David was never one of those kids but he had a mentality to define the odds.

" I wasn't staring long was I?" I sighed.

"You can't allow him to keep doing this to you" I could hear the laughter in her voice. "Macy is eventually gonna notice you".

"I am trying to fight it but you know it isn't easy" I stood up from lacing up my sneakers.

"You can do even better, you ain't fighting anything" Briana started laughing and thats when I heard the whistling as a group of guys jogged by us. David surprisingly looked over and it sent shivers up my spine but he only shook his head at the guys. 

"What if I went out with Mason?" I turned to Briana. Then she dramatically spat out her water and widened her eyes at me.

"Riley, he is the fuckboy of the century and you are thinking about dating him?" She pointed to him and she was right. He was the star quarterback and everybody wanted him as much as they did David but I needed a distraction. Plus I won't fall in love with him.

"I wont fall for him, its just for distraction" I started jogging over to the football team.

Ok, I am not the hottest girl in the school but I do make boys drool so when the boys start howling and behaving like hungry puppies, I am use to it. David would just shake his head and punch the first dude to say something about me to him.

"Hey Mason" I pulled out my best girly voice ever and smiled at him.

"Hey Rae" I hate that nickname or whatever it is but I ignored it. Mason glanced at David who stood and watched in disbelief.

"Wanna come over for dinner tonight? you know hang out" Briana was beside me now and she wanted to laugh but I would ruin her pretty face if she did. 

"Sure, anything for you" Mason glanced at David who stood there in disbelief. Mason had a huge smile on his face while he threw his shirt on his shoulder. 

Mason asked me out a few times and he flirts alot when I am around David and Macy but Hell no, I wasn't up for his schemes and tricks but I guess now I could use a distraction from my impermissible love for my step- brother. 

"Good, you can just come over after practice later" I smiled at him and even gave him my most flirtatious eyes ever.

"I am inviting myself" Briana turned and walked off after her announcement causing me to roll my eyes.

I waved the boys "Bye" before turning and walking away. I know I was being watched, girls don't usually approach their "crush" like that but I have a motive for this sudden "interest". Sigh, I am so desperate right now but maybe Mason and I will fall in love and bye bye David, my god of love and sexual torment. 

"Why do I think this is a bad idea?" Briana started stretching and I followed before our teacher started to yell.

I rolled my eyes and began jogging around the stupid field. I wasn't listening to Briana, she was lecturing me and all the reasons why Mason was gonna hurt me and why she was gonna plan to hurt him in case. My eyes caught David lecturing Mason also, and annoyance was written all over his face. I couldn't help but smile because we have something in common.

Maybe it won't be so bad after all.
