It was Saturday as well as it was mom's day off so why not spend the day with her since David and his dad are out of the house. Mom bakes alot and I couldn't make a cupcake to save a life but here we are covered in floor with sticky dough on our fingers. My laugh echoed through the house as mom told me about the prank that got one of her co-workers fired. Well it isn't funny that the person got fired but who throws garlic powder at their boss. Anyways we have been at this since 9 and now its 2 in the afternoon. I was having fun eating the dough as mom poured the mixture in the baking tin.

"Honey, you are dating Mason right?" I was surprised by her question really, but it was just the wrong timing. I stopped my licking and looked at her. "I mean he is your brother's best friend and all" I sighed and rolled my eyes at the addition thought.

"Mom, David is my step brother and it isn't as if I didn't know Mason" I shrugged and thats when she turned to look at me, she scanned me abit and placed her spoon down.

"Riley! most boys hate when their sisters date their best friends." Mom gave me the sassiest look ever which almost made me laugh because she was trying to be a teenager and I couldn't deal with it. "What if he breaks your heart and David is already so protective" She had a point but I don't think Mason was gonna be the one to hurt me.

I shrugged and continued on my licking endeavors, trying and hoping that she drops the topic because today isn't the day to get in my feelings. And I hate when that broken feeling comes in my chest. "I just don't want any drama to happen between you and...." before mom could finish the thunder voice's of the men blast through the house. And they followed straight into the kitchen.

"You girl are baking" Micheal went over and kissed Mom on the cheek causing her to blush. David was already in the middle of eating an apple, he winked at me as he stole a sample cupcake but earned murmurs from Mom.

"David!! Riley made those" I glared at mom who blow a kiss at me. Allowing the men to burst out into laughter, I just shook my head and removed myself from the counter top.

"Now that you guys are home, you can clean up our mother-daughter mess" I placed the spoon in the sink and started to leave but I heard the protest from Micheal and David along with Mom scolding them. I didn't wait for her to call me back but I made a sprint for my room.

I had a date with Mason well it isn't really a date more along the lines of "an evening stroll". He wasn't the most romantic person ever but he had to babysit his baby sister so I decided to join him after he bought me ice cream. Even though my situation is messed up, I found a soft spot for Mason but the attraction/attachment to David was greater.

I got all dolled up yet I was dressed to babysit a baby. His sister's name was Madison. She is the girl version of her brother way cuter of course. Her tiny fingers locked around around his huge pinky as she smiled at him. I love to men and their daughters but in this case, its my boyfriend and his little sister. We sat in the park by the pond, with a car seat between both of us, Mason with the baby and I had the bags on the other side. I didn't allow him to come inside with the baby because we would have been stuck at the house.

"She seems really into you" I smiled at both of them.

"Getting jealous now?" Mason joked around as he looked up at me. I jerked back abit but it wasn't to give him attitude but that little cramp in my stomach. My face felt heated and when Mason didn't look away, I know something was up. "You're blushing"  His smile grew and I covered my cheeks.

"I am not jealous, I just find you guys adorable" I removed my hands and kept contact with him. I wasn't gonna shy away from him, I never shy away from boy.

"Ok, Lets get you some ice cream and then get Mamacita here home" He stood and placed her in the car seat, securing her then we started on our way. With every person that passed us by, they would take us in and I would glance up at Mason. He didn't care and if he did, he ignored them. Not planning ahead or anything but are you staying over or I should make plans to bring you home which I wasn't" I stopped and held back my laughter. Since dating this guy, i have seen a side to him that many would have never seen because of the stigma thats placed on football player.
