Nightmares and Arizona

     (F/n)'s POV

     I stood face to face with a creature bound to chains. His legs were like the bodies of boa constrictors. On each hand, he had a hundred fingers tipped with red-eyed serpent heads. He had massive leathery wings and long matted hair that smelled like volcanic smoke. Just looking at him, made me go mad with terror. The both of us were clouded in darkness and storm clouds.

    "Hello Hera spawn," said the monster, his voice raspy and sickening. I shivered in fear, but continued to look at him. With lack of confidence, I whispered, "Who are you?"

     "Your worst nightmare!" the monster cackled. He ripped off his chains and launched himself at me. I screamed in pure terror as the monster began to devour me.

     "(F/n)! (F/n)! (F/n), please wake up! It was just a nightmare!" yelled a familiar voice as they shook me awake. My eyes fluttered open to see that it was Nico shaking me awake. He was dressed in the same clothes he wore on the day he rescued me from the Cyclops. Nico also had a black book bag on his back.

      "What...yawn..time is it?" I yawned as I rubbed my eyes with sleepiness. Nico stated, "Time for you, me, and Eric to leave."

     I looked around the cabin to see Eric standing a bit away from Nico. He saw that I was looking at me, so he waved at me and smiled. I waved and smiled back. Then I told the boys, "Okay! Just let me get dressed!"

     The boys didn't move and I face-palmed, so I did a shooing gesture at them. They turned to face the other direction and covered their faces with their hands. Sighing to myself, I began to change out of my (f/c) nightgown into an outfit. The outfit consisted of a baggy (f/c) T-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes.

     "You guys can turn around now," I told the boys after I got dressed. The both of them turned back around. I then picked up my (f/p) book bag, courtesy of the ten from the last prophecy. It contained all the essentials I needed for the quest. Then I placed my bracelet on my (n/d/h) wrist. Finn and Leo gave me it last night at dinner. Apparently, the genius Hephaestus siblings forged me a magical bracelet that when I say the words, "καλέσει όπλο," it would transform into my (p/w).

     "I'm ready!" I exclaimed happily, causing both the boys to smile. Nico then told me and Eric, "Hold onto my hands and I'll shadow-travel us to Tucson."

     "What's shadow-travel?" I asked confusedly as me and Eric grabbed one of Nico's cold hands.

     "You're about to find out," he stated. Nico dragged us over to a shadow that was in my cabin. Suddenly the three of us walked through the shadow and into utter darkness. I felt cold bony hands touch me and whispers from hundreds of people. With my eyes closed, Nico led us through the shadows.

     "(F/n), you can open your eyes now," said Eric. I opened my eyes to see that we were behind a building that looked like it belonged to a law corporation. I then asked, "Where are we?"

     "Tuscon, Arizona!"
