Max's P.O.V
"I can't think of something definite to write about our opinions! What am I supposed to say about what she writes! It's all up there," gesturing to her head "but I can't get them onto this!" said Bee, gesturing to the note book in front of her.
I crossed my legs, lying down on her bed, listening to her but my mind was still revolving around what happened in her car.
She remembered.
'Ofcourse she'd remember! You're the one who usually forgets.'
Great, now even my brain was siding with her.
It was just her reaction, that she remembered something as simple as that, I was beyond awed at that. She was always so caring and nice. I needed to be caring and nice to her too.
'Oh Lord, I'm turning into such a sappy idiot! What the hell is wrong with me?!'
"So you don't mind Jane Austen, do you?" she asked, biting her lip like she usually did when she was nervous.
"Yea, it's okay." I said casually. Too casually.
"Well, even if you weren't I wouldn't have changed it." she replied, striking up my unquenchable thirst to argue with her.
"Oh really? So if I'd something really bad about Jane Austen.."
"Don't you dare." She warned, scowling at me.
"Well, to be honest she's is amazing and great, if you're into romance and all that boring shit." I replied cockily, smirking at her.
"How can you say that! Austen doesn't always write about romance. It has a lot of other stuff!" she defended.
"Like what?" I mocked, slowly putting my right hand into my pocket and taking my phone out to record what she was going to say.
"First off, society in nineteenth century and all about how, a woman defying society wasn't something bad!" she started.
I listened to what she had to say, but I also just look at her. Okay, I may have stared. Her green eye sparkled and her face was lit up like the sun. She looked so thrilled as she spoke about her favorite author that I didn't have it in me to deny anything she said or even tell her I didn't really like Jane Austen.
I slowly took my phone out and snapped a picture of her.
No flash no sound.
I even felt like apologizing for even saying that she wasn't that great!
I suddenly snapped into my senses. Apologize? I don't apologize for anything!
"Why can't a guy just be like Mr. Darcy or better yet Mr Tilney..." she trailed off, sighing.
And I looked at her once again. She wasn't like other girls when they talked about what they liked, she put her heart and soul into whatever she said, she made sure you were paying attention to her, you actually couldn't help but look at her. She looked beautiful. I almost sighed. I shook my head in disbelief. What was I thinking!
"And there you go." I almost stuttered.
"W-What?" she asked, snapping out of her reverie. I couldn't help but smile.
"Your paragraph on what you think." I said, the smile on my face impossible to wash off.
"Oh My- How am I supposed to rem-"
"Got it all recorded." I said tossing my phone into her hands.
"Oh." She said, smiling stupidly.
"Just send it too yourself." I said.
"Okay,"
I had to get out of there, I was feeling weird things.
"So, I-uh have to go. Going on a date with Isabelle." I told her, which was true, but for the first time in a long time I wasn't ecstatic that I was going to meet her.
"Ah, yea sure." She said as she led me down the stairs.
"Okay-so bye?" I said, scratching my head.
Suddenly she came up and hugged me.
Actually hugged me.
My heart malfunctioned for a few seconds.
So did my brain.
And then I just automatically melted into it and hugged her back.
"Thanks Ax, for everything."
"Anytime Bee, anytime." I said, hugging her back.
Then I quickly let go, immediately feeling the loss of her small body against mine.
It was as if my heart was going into heat or something!
I shakily waved goodbye and headed over to my house, on the opposite side of the street.
I opened the door and went in. My lips were turned up in the most idiotic grin I've ever seen myself wear. And for once, it stayed there.
