I slammed my lunch tray down on the table. Not only did Sharon and Tasha look at me in shock, but also some of the other people in the cafeteria. Sharon just smiled and waved them off.
"I was partnered up with Max freaking Stevens for my English project" I said through gritted teeth. Tasha started to laugh but when she saw the look on my face she stopped.
"Did you ask Mr Brown to switch partners with someone else?" asked Sharon.
"Yes." I replied, vaguely.
"And?" she pressed.
"He said no."
"Just like that?" she asked incredulously.
"Yes." I replied, trying to hold my anger in.
"Why? Aren't you like one of his personal favourites or something?" she asked.
"That would be Jocelyn." I snorted.
"So? What did he say! Come on he's a understanding guy right?" she pressed.
