Hailey's POV

For the first time in years, I woke up before my sister murdered me awake.

I opened my eyes. I felt, happy. I got off my bed and went towards the window. I contemplated opening it. I just opened it a crack, just to take a sneak peek. A figure moved across the room that belonged to Max, and the curtain suddenly moved aside. Max's unearthly face greeted my still not ridden from sleep, making me involuntarily open the curtain even more.

How does he manage to pull of the Greek god look by just sleeping and getting up?! It isn't fair!

He looked straight at me and smirked. I just rolled my eyes at his cocky gesture. He just stared at me and burst out laughing. I looked at my fluffy Winnie the Pooh pajamas, it didn't look like there was anything on them so I just slowly reached up for my fair, closing my eyes in the process.

I felt pieces of red hair sticking out, everywhere! I blushed every shade of red I knew and I dashed back inside the room closing the curtain, holding my hand to my mouth.

I looked in to the mirror next to my table, I looked at the messy haired, bleary eyed, dry lipped, slightly fat girl in front of me. Oh boy.

I'm such an embarrassment to myself! Why can't girls look that great when the get up from the bed? Is it like a curse for all girls or just me?

"Just me." I said, as I thought of Sharon and Tasha when they come for sleepovers and the mornings after that.

I rush to the bathroom and after brushing my teeth, I remove my pajamas and hop into the shower, letting the hot water make me feel better.

"Hey soul sister, ain't that Mr. mister on the radio, stereo, the way you play ain't fair you know!" I burst out, as I shampooed my hair. I hummed until I had finished, after which I got out of the shower and wrapped my fluffy lavender towel around me and went to find something to wear.

I felt so energized. For the first time I decided to do something unlike me and treat my friends out. The more I thought about it the more better the plan sounded.

I would spend the whole day with Tasha and Sharon, then I would treat them out to a late night movie. To hell with school work. I'd done enough of that and more last night. Perfect.

I grabbed my phone and called Sharon.

"Hello?"

"Hey Ron?"

"H-hey, Lee?! Your actually awake, this early??" she said, voicing her incredulity.

"What I can't get up early now?" I asked, rolling my eyes.

"It's just not like you... Does it have something to do with last night's library date?" she asked, amusement evident in her voice.

"It was not a date Sharon."

"So it is because of Max."

"Maybe."

"I knew it!"

"Hey it's not what you think! Maybe I just want him back as a friend!" I defneded.

"Do you?" she asked.

Did I?

"That's not the point. The point is, since I'm in this happy mood, I think we should all benefit from this."

"Whoa, I should make Max take you out more!"

"Shut up. Anyway, I decided to take you guys out for a late night movie."
