Hailey's POV

I walked down the halls of the empty school, desperate to get to my locker.

"Bee," a voice cried, a voice that I dread gearing.

Go away Max, go away.

"I can't," he says, gripping my wrist.

I must have said that out loud.

My heart beat quickened. I turned around.

"Bee," came Max's heart stopping voice, filled with remorse.

"I'm sorry, Bee. I'm so so sorry. I just can't bear to see you like this."

"Too late," I stay stock still, emotionless.

"No, I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I can't believe it's too late. I-I pushed you away because I love you, I love you so so much, Bee." He said, his stormy gray eyes piercing into my green ones.

They were so clear, his eyes. It felt as if I was looking into his soul. And his soul said his heart belonged to me. Just as mine belonged to him.

"Really?" I whispered, my heart slowly piecing itself back together.

"Yes Bee, I always have."

"I love you too," I confessed. I wanted to say it. I didn't completely know it was true, but it would be horrible if when he could say it, I couldn't.

He pulled my wrist towards him, and I fell into his warm embrace. "I will always love you," he mumbled into my hair.

I laugh. Because if I hadn't, I would have begun to cry.

And I didn't want that.

Suddenly Max screams.

A dark shadow starts to pull him. Pull him away. Away from me.

"Max!" I scream. But Max is long gone and everything has changed.

*

I wake up, sweating hard. Tears pouring from my face. Stupid dream.

I needed to get a grip over myself.

I looked at the clock.

3:30 am

I had to stop this.

Before it got worse.

I would stop sulking.

Tomorrow I would go to school.

My broken heart beat faster.

Tomorrow I would face them.

Tomorrow I would face them all.
