Chapter 21 Letting go. Setting her free.
I was deeply hurt. She was my everything.
Masakit pero kailangan kong tanggapin na hanggang dun na lang lahat. I've never seen the girl that happy before. For a moment, I wished I was Ramon. I wished to be him not because I wanted to be in the place of the guy Frina has ever loved but I wanted to be in the shoes of the person who caused all her joy.
I guess I have to leg go now. Moving any further from here would bear no good.
Ipangako lang nya na hindi nya sasaktan si Frina.
That night, hindi ako umuwi agad. Naghintay lang ako sa kanya. Kay Ramon, may habilin ako e.
"Oh Blue. Bakit dito ka pa?" gulat nya na tanong sa akin habang naglakakad sya pauwi.
"Do you really love Frina?" was my first question.
He looked stunned. And a smile curled on his lips. "Oo naman.."
I looked him in the eye. I could not find a trace of a lie. Maybe this guy has fallen in love with Frina along the way. Hindi naman mahirap mahalin si Frina. Kung magtitiyaga ka lang.
"Can you promise me one thing?"
He listened to me attentively.
"Never hurt her.."
"Don't worry. I won't."
"I'm counting on you."
Keep your promise man. If Frina comes to me crying one of these days.. I’ll break your head off.
