Calliope
I wake up lying in a bed.
A bed?
Sitting up, I remember last night's events.
Worriedly, I look to my side frantically for Arizona.
Good.
She was by my side, sleeping peacefully, hugging my arm to her chest.
I check my phone.
5:47 AM
Good, I still had time to sleep.
I cuddle back down in the blankets and I feel as she instinctively cuddles up next to me. I softly rub her hip lightly and kiss the back of her shoulder blade.
She stirs a bit.
"Whitney?" She asks startled. She whimpers under her breath. "Whitney, no. Stop!"
Slowly getting louder and beginning to wake up more, my eyebrows thread together of worry.
I grip her side and yank her to me. I kiss her forehead and wrap my arms around her tightly, waiting for her to calm down.
She opens her eyes and blue meets brown.
Slowly, her breathing gets back to normal.
"Calliope." She whispers.
"Arizona."
She buries her face in my neck, tears streaming.
I kiss her head, pulling her tight to my chest.
"It's okay. I've got you. She's in jail now."
I lean down and kiss her neck softly as she falls asleep for the second time that night in my arms.
