Icy outdoor pool.
(Taylor's Perspective)
I walk outside and the cold air hits my legs and I shiver. I wrap my sweater around me mor tightly as I walk over to the pool and watch the water flowing around.
I put my feet in and I shout out as the sudden temperature change.
"How is the water?" I hear Joe ask behind me.
"Freezing." I said.
Joe puts his feet in and laughs, "This is nothing. My family goes to a lake hear our house and we strip our clothes only in our underwear and jump onto the lake."
I gasped in shock, "Really!? No! That's insane." I said.
"I should take you to the lake and have you jump in. It's fun." Joe said.
"Maybe I'll do it if you do it too," I
"But when you do jump in you have to get out in seconds because you will get hypothermia." Joe said.
"Oh shit." I said.
"I know a lake close by here actually. Maybe we can do it tomorrow or some day after." Joe said.
"Maybe. You have you convince me to do it." I said.
"Oh I know I will." Joe said and laughed.
"You are crazy." I said and laughed.
"I gotta go back inside I'm freezing out here." I said stepping out of the pool and walking inside the warm house and Joe follows me.
"Elizabeth wants to go jumping onto a freezing lake?" I ask.
"Wait what?!" Elizabeth asks looking up from her book
"It's Joe's idea." I said.
"My family and I do it all the time." Joe said.
"Why would you want to jump in a freezing lake?" Elizabeth asks
"It's fun and you get adrenaline." Joe said
"Crazy." Elizabeth said.
"That's what I said." Taylor said.
"You should do it too now that you both are family. It's a family tradition of mine." Joe said.
"I will only do it if Joe's does it with me." Taylor said.
"Then that means you have to do it too Elizabeth. It's my family tradition and I consider you family too." Joe said
"Where will we do it?" Elizabeth asks.
"My one of the lakes here." Joe said.
"If we do it. We will only do it once and never again? We will run back into the house and sit by the fire?" Elizabeth asks.
"Yep. And we also have to get out of the water in seconds because you will get hyperthermia." Joe said.
"Oh shit." Elizabeth cursed and Joe laughed.
"Okay fine. When will we do it?" Elizabeth asked and Joe smiled.
