taylor making Getaway car

(Taylor's perspective)

I walk into the studio and Jack Antonoff is already here.

"Hi Jack!" I shout and run up to hug him.

"Hi Taylor!" Jack greats me hugging me back.

"Ready to get to work?" Jack asks.

"Yes." I said.

Jack begins to play the piano with my already recorded song lyrics,

"No nothing good starts in a getaway car." my voice said in a robotic tone.

"That's so sick!" I shout.

"No nothing good starts in a getaway car." Jack said again in my voice in a robotic tone threw the electronic piano.

I laughed, "I love that! That's so cool."

"So you want that in the song? Like in the beginning?" Jack asks.

"Sure. That would play in the beginning of the song." I said.

"Cool." Jack said.

"So I was thinking some of the lyrics should be something like." I said and started to sing,

"We where jet set Bonnie and clide
Oooh
Til a switch to the other side
To the other si I I I de
With no surprise I turned you in
Oooh
Us traders never win,

You where driving
The getaway car
We where flying
But we never get far
Don't pretend that it's just a mystery
Think about the place where you just met me,

Riding the getaway car
We where soaring
In the best of your heart
Should have known I'd be the first to leave
Think about the place where you first met me,

In a getaway car
Oooh Ooh oooh
No they never get far
Oooh Ooh Ooh
Oh oh oh
No nothing good starts in a getaway car
Driving in a getaway car
Riding in a getaway car
Dying in a getaway car
Dying in a getaway car
Riding in a getaway car
Riding in a getaway car
Flying in a getaway car
Dying in a getaway car." I sing.

Jack continues to play the piano,

"That sounds so fun." I said

"We were set jet Bonnie and Clive
Oooohhh
Until I switched to the other side to the other side I I I I
There's no surprise I turned you in
Oooohhhh
Cause us traders never win
Riding in the getaway car
We where driving no we ever get far
Put the money in the bag and I stole the keys
That was the last time hit ever saw me
Riding in a getaway car
There where sirens in the beat of your heart
Oooh
Should have known I'd be the first to leave
That was the last time you ever saw me
Think about the place where you first saw me." I sing.

"That's so fucking sick!"

"Amazing." I said.

"Soo cool." I said.

"I think it sounds great."

"The line I keep stumbling on is the line that says. Is like,"

"You where driving the getaway car
We where flying no we never get far
Is it don't pretend it's such a mystery think about the place where you first met me." I sing

"We where flying no we never get far." Jack sings

"I'm wondering about the line don't pretend that it's such a mystery or don't act like your acting like it's such a mystery." I sing.

"Don't pretend that it's such. Kinda like that?" Jack asks.

"It's gotta sound the same way like the second one does." I said.

Music starts to play again,

"We where driving in a getaway car
We where flying
No we never get far
Don't pretend it's such a mystery
Think about the place where you first saw me
We where riding in a getaway car
There where sirens in the beat of your heart
Should have known I'd be the first to leave
Think about the place where you saw me."

"The thing you just did do that again." Jack said.

"We where driving
No we no we never get far
Don't pretend that it's such a mystery think about the place where you first saw me
We where riding the getaway caro
Oooh oooh Ooh
No we never get far
Oooh oooh oooh" I sing.

Jack plays the piano and sings with the voice affect changing his voice to a robotic voice,

"No nothing good starts in a getaway car." Jack sings.

"I'm in a getaway car." I sing

"And I'm losing my something." Jack sings.

"I'm in a getaway car
And your in a motel bar"

"Or I'm in the getaway car
Left you in the motel bar
Took the money." Jack says

"Took the money and the bag
And I stole the keys
That was the last time you ever say me!" I shout excitedly.

"I'm in the getaway car
Left you in the motel bar
That's so sick!" Jack shouts and sits back down to work on the background tracks.

We continue to finish the rest of the song and I record all of it until it's finished.

"Bye Jack. Thanks for everything." I said.

"You're welcome. Call me when you have another idea as soon as you can." Jack said.

"I will." I said and I walked out of the studio to go back home.
