Caught in the Rain

Third POV
"That dinner was great." Simon said putting his hand into Josh's.

Josh looked down slightly and kissed Simon on the forehead. "Good, happy anniversary."

Simon smiled and leaned into Josh as they began to walk home.

"Can we walk through the park?" Simon asked pulling on Josh's arm as they passed by the entrance.

"That is going to make it longer to get home." Josh said stopping and tightening his hand around Simons.

Simon looked up at Josh with big blue eyes silently begging to go into the park. He knew it would take longer, he just wanted this day to last longer. "Fine." Josh finally said, not being able to resist the puppy dog eyes.

~time skip~

"Isn't this walk great?" Simon asked leaning into Josh with a big smile on his face.

"Only because you are here." Josh responded, getting a giggle out of Simon.

"You are so-" Simon was cut off by the falling of rain.

The rain fell harder and began to pour on the boys walking through the park. Josh then took out his phone going, on what look like an app. Simon stopped and looked at Josh with curious eyes, "what are you doing?" Simon asked with worry in his eyes. Simon loved the rain and wanted to continue to walk in the rain. Does Josh not know how much I love the rain? He thought to himself.

"You'll see." Josh smiled brightly turning towards his still confused his boyfriend.

Simon was going to question him again when "Love you Like I'm Gonna Lose You" (song attached at the top) began to play off Josh's phone. Josh played it louder and put it in his pocket. He then stuck out his hand and asked "may I have this dance?"

Simon's confused face became a happy face and took his hand and danced in the rain with him.

The song soon came to an end and the two lovers stared at each other for what seemed like forever.

"Only one could make this day even better than it is." Josh said, a smirk hiding at the corner of his mouth.

"What?"

"If we kissed in the rain, like in those romantic movies."

"But you have cooties."

Josh chuckled at Simon's child like behavior and pulled him closer to him. "Now you have cooties." Josh said before closing the gap between their lips. 

Simon was the first to pull away, "I love you."

"I love you too."

Josh grabbed Simons hand and began walking towards home.

~time skip~

The two boys got home and opened the door just as Vik was walking towards the kitchen.

"What happened?" Vik asked slightly worried about them being soaked.

"We got caught in the rain." Josh chuckled, putting his arm around Simon.

"Why didn't you call me, I would of picked you up." Vik stated, still confused.

"We were almost home, so." Simon quickly answered.

Vik nodded and continued his walk to the kitchen.

"Let's get out of these wet clothes. We both need a shower." Simon started taking off his shoes, leaning on Josh for support.

"Want to continue this anniversary night and take a shower together." Josh whispered in Simons ear, sending a shiver down his back.

Simon turned towards the stairs, and pulled Josh's arm up the stairs.

"I'll take that as a yes." Josh chuckled following Simon.
