More than Friends Pt. 1

Tobi's POV
Today was the day. The day I was finally going to tell Josh my real feelings. I was going to tell him that I wanted to be more than friends. Yes, he was dating Freya, but this feeling was making me go crazy. It might ruin our friendship but I don't care. He needs to know.

I rolled out of bed and got dressed. I wore my 'sidemen' shirt and sweat pants. Also, my 'sidemen' SnapBack. I made sure it was all sidemen related because all of the sidemen were gathering together at JJ's house to record videos to promote our new book.

I walked out to the kitchen, grabbing a bowl, spoon, cereal, and the milk out of the fridge. I sat down at the island and began eating some breakfast. I picked up my phone, hitting the 'home' button.

9:45 AM.

I had another 15 minutes before I had to meet Harry and Ethan at Harry's flat. (They live in the same building.)

I slid the lock screen, putting in my 4-digit passcode and opened Twitter. I was scrolling through mentions, when a message notification went off. My eyes flew to the top of the screen.

New Message from Joshua❤️

I smiled and clicked on the notification.

Joshua❤️: what time are you, Ethan, and Harry leaving?
Me: around 10
Joshua❤️: okay😀

I shut off my phoneand got up from the stool. I shoved my phone in my pocket. I then placed the bowl and the spoon in the sink, than poured water into the bowl.

I sighed and looked at the clock above the sink.

9:55 AM

I sighed moving towards the living room. I sat on the couch and began putting on my sneakers. "Not sidemen sneakers." I said making a joke to myself.

I got up and grabbed my keys off the coffee table and walked towards the door. I closed the door behind me, locking it, and proceeded to the elevator.

I arrived at the 10th floor (have no idea what floor or how many floors in the building 😂) and stepped out of the elevator. I walked the short distance to Harry's door and saw it ajar. I knocked softly and pushed the door open.

"IT'S TOBI!" Harry jumped out of his room, immediately bringing me into a big hug.

"Hey Harry." I responded hugging him back.

He pulled away and went back into his room and I walked further into his apartment. As I walked towards the living room, I saw the Cals' doors closed. They are probably still sleeping. As usual they probably won't get up till 12. I thought chuckling to myself.

I reached the living room seeing Ethan hanging out on the couch watching a football (or soccer) game on the tv.

"Hey." He said turning and smiling in my direction.

"Hey, you ready for a long day." I moved towards the couch, jumping over so could sit and talk to him.

"No," he paused and looked around the flat, than turned to look back at me. "So you gonna tell him today."

Ethan had a big bright smile on his face. He was the only one that knew I liked Josh. He shipped the 11 years relationship full time.

"Yeah, but he is dating Freya."

"Don't worry. It will be fine."

Harry came out into the living room, trying to get his shirt on. We laughed at him, watching him trying to find the head hole. "You guys ready to go?" Harry finally asked coming out from his shirt. We both nodded standing up and following towards the door.

I moved closer to Ethan, my mouth only a couple inches from him, "I hope you are right."

~time skip~

We arrived at JJ's house around 10:30 AM. We walked through the house hearing they guys already making fun of each other. We reached the living room and saw the four other sidemen setting up the cameras.

"Hey guys." Simon said not removing his eyes from the camera he was positioning.

"Hey" we responded sitting on the big couch we had for the videos.

"What order we doing the videos in?" Harry asked opening Twitter up next to me.

"Simons, yours, lunch, Tobi, Josh, Ethan, Josh, Vik, mine." Jj responded sitting in the corner of the couch.

"We should be done around 7 or 8." Vik said putting his phone in his pocket of his sweat shirt.

"Okay, you guys ready." Simon asked getting the Twitter questions up on his phone.

We all nodded in agreement and we all crowded on the couch.

"Hey guys, and welcome to the ENTIRE sidemen q&a!"

~time skip~

Lunch finally came and we all sat around the island in the kitchen. We were all laughing and making jokes about each other. What we do best.

We had gotten dominos. We had bought 6 pizzas. The workers thought we were having a party. No, we were just 7 friends with big appetites.

Soon a conversation erupted between Jj, Simon, and Harry about which pizza topping was best. We all listened, confused on how they had a full conversation about this. I was full into the conversation when Josh leaned over putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Can we speak in the living room?"

I nodded and he got up walking towards the hallway. I wiped my hands then bumped Ethan's shoulder as I followed Josh out of the kitchen. He turned quickly, smiled and gave me a quick thumbs up.

We reached the living room and Josh turned, looking upset about something.

"What's wrong?"

"I broke up with Freya, a couple weeks ago."

"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry."

I put my hand on his shoulder and rubbed it. I showed a frown on my face but I was really cheering on the inside. He is single. The first time in 5 years.

"She said that I was distracted. That it look like I liked someone else."

"Maybe it is for the best."

"You know what's worse?"

"What?"

"She was right. I do like someone else."

"You should definitely go after her. She would be lucky to have you." I smiled a fake smile. Now I really couldn't tell him that I like him. "Who is she?"

"You."
