Chapter 3

Luna's POV

We started driving off away from my only "home" and no one talked for 10 minutes. That led to awkward silence, and that's never fun when you are shy. Then finally Mason started talking

"So, Luna, tell us about yourself" he said looking at me. Now seems like a good time to tell you that Luke is driving, James (or Anthony as Luke accidentally called him. I'm surprised no one noticed besides me)is in the passenger seat, and Mason and I are in the back.

"Wh- what do you wa-want to kn-know?" I ask stuttering and awkward. As I say that I realize that I'm about to get a panic attack, which I'm scared to get. Of course when you're scared you get panic attacks, so when James asked my age I just started sobbing for no reason.
Mason was the first to notice, because he is in the back with me, and he unbuckled my seatbelt and put me on his lap. Then James realized and looked back at me with sympathy, which is weird for me. I've never gotten sympathy from anyone before. James then mouths something to Mason, but I'm blind from my tears so I don't see what.
Mason starts rocking us back and forth while whispering cute things in my ear.
"Sh, you're okay. No one can hurt you, we won't let them." he kept saying things like this and it calmed me down so much. He is so sweet!

I finally stopped crying and answered the question.

"I'm 16" I say still sniffling.

"You're not that much younger than us" Luke says

"Yeah I know" then realize what I said "oh um I mean really?"

"Hold on. I have another question. What are your favorite bands?" James says.

"Oh, um" no escaping the truth here I guess, "5 Seconds of Summer and A Summer High also know as Luke, Mason, and Anthony, as Luke called James when he was introducing us" I say

"Did I really call James, Anthony?" Luke says and doesn't even seem surprised.

"Yes" Mason, James, and I say at the same time, while laughing.

"Oh... well anyways what do you guys want for lunch?" Luke asks awkwardly. I didn't realize he would be that awkward.

"PIZZA" we all yell at the same time. Okay, I guess that's settled.

"To, Pizza Hut we go" Luke says and turns into a parking lot. I guess he was driving here all ready. I should have known.

We go into the restaurant and wait for someone to show us where we are sitting. Eventually a guy comes over and tells us to follow him. As we are walking, he is talking to us. His voice sounds familiar but I can't figure out why. Looks like I know what I'm going to be doing while I'm eating. We finally get to our table and sit down. Mason and Luke on one side and James and I on the other.

"What can I get you guys, and girl, to drink?" The waiter asks.

"Can you get me a water, please" I ask James, being my shy self.

"I would like a Pepsi, and she would like a water" James says, and the guy wruites it down.

"Can I get a Pepsi too?" Mason says and Luke adds "Me too"

The guy leaves to get us our drinks and we start looking at the menu.

"So, While we're waiting, is there anything else you want to know about me?" I say, starting to feel less shy around them.

"Do you play any instruments?" Mason asks.

"No, but I want to learn guitar" I say, and the waiter comes back. I realize that I haven't even opened my menu so, I don't know what I want to eat.

"So what would you guys like?" the waiter asks.

"Can we get two large pizzas, one just cheese and one pepperoni" Mason says and the waiter nods, takes our menus and leaves, again.

"I was just about to say, can we really finish two large pizzas but then I remembered who I was with, and that I will be eating pizza a lot" I say.

"Yep, you are going to eat a lot of pizza and go swimming a lot" James says, then adds "I'm just curious, but who is your favorite member of ASH?"

"Oh, that's easy, daddy shark of course" I say, laughing.

"You pick a shark over the humans that actually make the music and created the band" Mason says with mock betrayal.

:Yes, yes I do" I say still laughing. "but for real, my favorite is all of you, I can't choose"

"Well , I'm just glad you weren't serious about daddy shark being your favorite" Luke says. I can't believe that they actually thought I was being serious about that.

We stay silent until the food gets here, and we still stay silent after it gets here because we were all too busy eating.

Soon we were finished eating, and there was no pizza left. Why am I not surprised? Mason pays because he says "It"s my turn to pay". I guess they one of them pays every time they eat out and they have an order.

We leave the restaurant and start driving to their house, I assume. I just hope that I will finally have a real home after spending almost my entire life in that terrible place.
