The Letter from James (COMPLETED)

It's time to start planning....

"KASEY!!! KASEY!!! Wake up!!! Wake up!!" Korryn screamed at Kasey. Kasey didn't budge.....finally Korryn walked over to the bed and started shaking her. Kasey starts laughing and wakes up and screams, "GOTCHA!!" Korryn stood there with so much rage in her eyes that she had to back away from the bed because if she would've continued standing there, she would've slapped the hell out of Kasey. "That shit ain't funny Kasey! Of all times, you choose to play a joke as serious as this on us! You are 16 years old! GROW THE HELL UP!" Korryn says to Kasey before walking out the room. Korryn runs to her dad and grabs the phone out of his hand and tells the operator that it was a joke that Kasey was playing. As soon as Korey hears the word: JOKE, he went off! "He walked down the hall and the next thing Korryn heard was screams...Korryn hung up the phone after apologizing and run to her sister's rescue. Korey had Kasey by her arms shaking her. "DAD STOP!!!" Korryn runs over to them and pulls Kasey out of Korey's and starts coddling her and calming her down. "Dad this isn't the solution! We need to all calm down and separate for a while. We have to meet up at Paull's at 1pm anyway....we need to go and start picking stuff out for momma and I don't wanna put it off any longer. We need to start planning...It's time and we can't put it off any longer" Korryn says beginning to cry with her sister. "Oh...now I'm your dad?..Huh? Now I'm your dad...." Korey says out of spite. "C'mon dad don't be like that...." Korryn says trying to stop her dad from feeling that way. It didn't work. Korey walked off and out of the house. "C'mon Kasey let's go....I'm taking my little sister to breakfast." Korryn said.

11:33am

"Welcome to Another Cracked Egg, my name is Janice, how may I help you?" the server says to Korryn and Kasey. "Go ahead Kasey, get whatever you want...I gotchu!" Korryn says to an uneasy looking Kasey. "I'll have 4 slices of thick bacon, 2 sunny side over eggs, cheese and buttered grits, 2 slices of toasts, lightly toasted with butter and a tall tall glass of orange juice." Kasey proceeded. "Girl you ordering food like your pregnant or somethin'." Korryn says laughing. "Well that's cuz I am..." Kasey says. "What the hell you mean you are?" Korryn says in shock. "Korryn just order your food and I'll tell you all about it." Kasey said. Korryn turns to Janice and tells her she'll have the same and turns right back to Kasey and gave her a look that basically showed disappointment. "Korryn don't look at me like that! Not everyone can be perfect little Korryn!" Kasey said in anger. "Nobody said I was perfect and no one said you were either. Look I love you and my little Godchild. Whatever he or she needs I got y'all. But who's the da..." Korryn said before she was interrupted by Kasey. "I'm not keeping it...I can't. Didn't you see the way dad reacted to me playing that joke...how in the hell will I be able to keep this baby? Then he already didn't approve of the relationship Joseph and I have...well had.....we broke up after he learned I was pregnant..." Kasey said with tears in her eyes. Korryn could see the pain her sister was in so she went and sat next to her. "You are going to keep this baby! If you have to come and live with me, you will. You, my little niece or nephew and I. I'll rent an apartment off campus if I have to. That's my little baby too! And you know we don't believe in abortion." Korryn said consoling her sister. "But Korryn...." Kasey tried to rebut her statement but was interrupted by Korryn. "Did you hear me? You're keeping it. If you can lay there and make the baby, you gon' keep it! Do you understand me?" Korryn said looking Kasey in the eyes. "Ok Korryn...." Kasey said. "Who knew when I said, 'We need to start planning' it was going to be a double entendre." Korryn said looking down at Kasey's stomach.

Korryn started planning on how she was going to take her sister back to texas with her because she had to have her little niece or nephew (hopefully niece but she'd take a nephew too) when her thoughts were rudely interrupted by Kasey. "Korryn so what was dad talking about when he said, 'Oh now I'm your father?'" Kasey asked Korryn pulling her out of her daze. "I met my biological father today after he sent a letter to my school telling me about him being my biological father...well sperm donor....and I didn't believe him until....nevermind it doesn't matter but long story short that's what took me so long to get home from the hospital because I went to Donaldsonville with Mr. Paull because he knows the sperm donor so well....that's why he said what he said....he was already upset at me and your little stunt threw him over the edge." Korryn said looking at her sister with mean eyes. "I was just playing trying to lighten the mood...you know I've always been that type of person. But Korryn...you're not dad's biological child?" Kasey asked in disbelief. "No Kasey....I'm not...but I don't care what any DNA test says....he's my dad and you're my full sister." Korryn said looking Kasey deep in her eyes. "Korryn I wasn't worried about...I love you no matter what! But am I Korey's biological child?" Kasey asked because she didn't know what to believe anymore. "GIRL YES! No question about it! You look just like dad...there's no question and what mom did what my sperm donor was honestly.....kind of out her control....she was vulnerable and he took advantage of that...my sperm donor huh? Amazing ain't he?" Korryn said rolling her eyes and then looked up and saw the waitress standing there with their food. "Ahhh....food!" Kasey said in a sigh of relief...she was honestly tired of the serious conversation. They were the type of sisters that constantly joked around and they were never serious.

Kasey dove into her food without even saying grace. I didn't even stop her because with her being pregnant and all....she needed to eat. "So did you take your prenatal vitamins today?" Korryn said looking up from her bowl of grits. "Oh no..I'm glad you reminded me....Korryn would you take me to my doctors appointments? I'll call you when I need to go..." Kasey asked Korryn hopefully. "Honey....you don't have to worry....I'm finding you an OB/GYN in houston and you're going to go to all of your appointments. You're coming with me because I need you to. You need a change of scenery and you need to leave before dad finds out because he's not going to let you stay anyway." Korryn said already having this planned out in her head. "But what about my friends, what about school, what is Joseph going to say?" Kasey said right before downing her prenatal pill. "Joesph wants nothing to do with you or the baby, your friends can come and visit anytime and you can always find a new high school or go online if you want....I know it's going to be hard relocating for your senior year but I also know it's going to be hard not having a woman in the house to help you out...so come with me and we can learn how to parent this baby together...what do you say about that baby sis?" Korryn said in hopes of her saying yes. "Yes I would love to come and stay with you...but what about dad?" Kasey said. "Once I talk to him, you'll be home free to come with me." Korryn said giving her a reassuring look.

Approximately 2 hours later

"Kasey....let's pray before we go in the funeral parlor..." Korryn says to Kasey looking her in her tear filled eyes. "Ok Korryn.....let's do it.." Kasey says as she bowed her head.. Korryn started:

Dear Heavenly Father....we come to you asking that you give us the strength to walk in this funeral parlor and be strong throughout this spiritual journey that we have been placed upon. You say that you do everything for a reason, and I am believing that you do....so I want you to help us walk in this building and take all the sorrow away and help us to be strong for OUR earthly father.....for we both know that our mom is in heaven talking and praising you. Bless our family God...in JESUS name...AMEN..

"Amen!" Kasey shouted. "Now let's go in here with smiles on our faces for dad and try and cheer him up." Korryn said.

Korryn and Kasey walk in the funeral parlor and straight to Mr. Paull's office. When they walk in the office, they notice someone sitting there talking to him...and it's not their father...Actually their father wasn't even there. Korryn steps to the door and notices who it is instantly....

It's James.....
