The Letter from James (COMPLETED)

December 15th 1999

"December 15th...1999....It was a cold winter's night....or so I was always told....I wouldn't know because that was the day I was being born." Korryn told her roommate, Karen, as she began to unpack. "My mother had been in labor with me for almost 48 hours...yeah I have always been a late person....she was screaming slurs and derogatory words at my father saying how he would never touch her again and how he would never see her naked again and how he would never put his.....nevermind....somethings just shouldn't be said especially coming out of a lady's mouth....I don't know why my mother told me all these things but she did...."Korryn continued blabbing on as Karen continuously rolled her eyes. "Long story short.." Karen began smirking, knowing she was coming to an end, "I was born late on a cold winter's night and that explains why I am always late....being late is just in my nature..." Korryn began laughing at herself while Karen joined in with her fake laughing.

Korryn Jane Bynum was not the average girl. Despite her always being late, she was the most intelligent person in her entire family. She was the daughter of Jane Bynum and Korey Bynum...or so she thought. Korryn graduate high school at 15 and went to college immediately after she graduated. Now she is a sophomore at Nayporum University where she is studying to be a Journalist. Korryn just loved to write and talk....mainly she loved to talk. Korryn was always a talker. She began talking at 9 months old and her first word was not average at all. Her first word was beautiful since her mother always called her that, she picked up on it and just out of the blue one day said it so clearly. Korryn is a tall, dark, thick, beautiful girl that had no problem with her confidence nor school. She was the most popular girl in school and she did not act that way. She treated everyone with dignity and respect as her mother and father always taught her. Even to this day, she is the most popular girl on campus. Everyone aspired to be Korryn until this one day she received a letter from a guy named James Koplan.....everything in her world then shattered and she did not like what she was reading...

The letter read:

Hi Korryn,

I know you don't know who I am but I am truly your father. Your mom and I hooked up one night after her and Korey got into a fight and she came over to my house because I used to be her best friend before this night happened. It was April 13th to be exact and all of a sudden I heard my doorbell ring. It was almost 12am and she was standing outside my door crying. Of course I invited her and we sat on the couch cuddled up while I listened to her. I always loved her deeper than just being her friend but until this night she knew nothing about that. As she poured her heart out....I finally said, "Why don't you leave him?" and she answered, "Because I love him with all my heart no matter how much he hurts me." So I just grabbed her face and kissed her. And we sat there kissing for about 15 minutes not even coming up for air.....we didn't stop until I picked her up and carried her off to my room. From there it was history....that night I knew I made a child but I knew what we were doing was wrong because she was someone else's ....I couldn't let her go though...that was my baby...my lover...my heart....and next thing I know she called me and told me that she missed her period and that she knew it was mine because she hadn't done anything with Korey since that night they fought....Long story short...I agreed to keep my distance as long as when you became of age I could contact you....I felt you were of age so I contacted you...don't ask me how I found you....just know I have my ways.....I just want you to know that I do want to meet you soon and I will be in town soon.

Korryn crumpled up the letter and threw it away and tears began to fall down her face. How could her mother betray her? How could her father betray her? Or her so called father betray her? She was determined to find out and she was going to right now! She called her mother's phone and she didn't answer. She called her father's phone and he didn't answer. Finally she called her sister's Kacey phone and she picked and she was on the other end crying and screaming. "What's wrong?"she said hearing her father scream in the background "Mom just died!" Kasey said. Korryn dropped the phone in disbelief. She began sobbing and her roommate just watched.......

I'm sorry it's short but it's a really long and harsh process....I promise I will make it up to you Sunday....I will update every Friday and Sunday at 11pm CST.....or earlier...y'all turn ya notifications on cuz it's bout to go down!
