"So Sam, what's on your mind?" Hayley asked. "There's a town just ahead, you want me to stop?"

"No, no I'm fine!" Sam shouted.

"It's only a few hours from home, but we'll stop here for a while. Your mom didn't want you to go into this job because she didn't want you to start freaking out and going crazy. You need some rest," Hayley said.

"It took us one drive to get there, Hayley! Let's just go home!" Sam shouted.

They stated to drive into the town when a car driving the opposite way from them swerved into their lane and nearly crashed into the truck.

"That was close!" Hayley shouted. "I think we gotta stay just incase."

"Can't we just get home? Car crashes naturally happen," Sam complained.

"I didn't do that! Something must've caught the tire or something! I'm so sorry!" a voice rose up from nearby. Hayley smirked over at him.

"Fine, you can track it down yourself. I'm gonna chat with my friends somewhere," Sam said as Hayley pulled into a motel.

She left to get their room while Sam took out his phone and texted Marc, who responded almost instantly.

Sam: Hayley's forcing us to stop AGAIN

Marc: I offered to come with you guys, just get some rest, you probably need it

Sam: There was an Angel in the other town we stopped in and now Hayley thinks there's coincidentally one here too because of some car crash.

Marc: Then just let her handle it, you don't have to follow her around

Sam: I was already planning on that

Marc: Damien's gonna be here for a project soon, can't talk about angle stuff around people like him

Marc: Don't want to ruin his innocence, poor thin doesn't deserve to know about angles

Sam: angELs*

Sam: Get it right, geez

Marc: no

Marc: the angles want you to spell it correctly

Marc: I don't listen to angles

Sam: you don't like math either

Marc: Sleep while you can, see you when you get home

Sam: Don't leave me!

Marc: Damien's here, can't talk anymore

Sam: we just won't talk about Angels

Sam: Marc!

Sam: MARCUSSS

Sam: fuck you

Marc: I'd be the one doing the fucking ;)

Sam: NO FUCK OFF NO STOP

Marc: Okay ;)

Sam: I'm going now

Marc: okay ;)

((A/N I'm sorry, I'm tired and think I'm being funny))

Sam got out of the truck when he noticed Hayley walking back to the truck.

"Here, go sleep, I'll get you if I can track down an Angel responsible," she said, throwing him the key.

"Fine," Sam replied.

((Time Skip))

Sam woke up to Hayley shouting.

"Sam!!" she shouted.

"Huh? What?" Sam replied.

"I tracked it down, there was another crash only a few people were present in both crashes and only one didn't run over both times, she just stood and watched," she explained. "Now wake up, we don't want this one getting away or outsmarting us."

"Fine," Sam replied, getting up and grabbing his bag, not bothering to change or anything.

He followed Hayley behind an alleyway where they sat and waited until Hayley sprung up and held someone in place.

"Woah! W-what's happening here?!" she asked.

"You know what happened, you caused the crashes, what, do you find it fun?" Hayley spat, obviously not wanting to talk to her.

"You guys are hunters, just perfect," the woman said sarcastically. "You're the ones who tracked him here, weren't you? Everywhere you go recently had Angels causing chaos, didn't they, and you only found one Angel who could be responsible."

"Shut up, I don't care to hear you talk," Hayley said. "Sam."

"Look here, girl, I'm saving your, and countless innocent people's, lives. You're up against Carter. You didn't see it was him all along, now he's following you guys. He's causing chaos and pinning it on everybody else!" she shouted.

"Were we killing... innocent Angels? Oh my god..." Sam said.

"They lie. It's lying," Hayley said. "They get desperate then they lie. You've seen it before. This whole week, Sam!"

"I'm not. Kill me if you must, but Carter won't stop until someone is dead. Didn't they all coincidentally start the second you got there?! Carter has seen you. Have you seen a guy, with blue eyes, and blue bangs, and brown hair, that's Carter," she explained.

"Sam! Kill it!" Hayley shouted.

"BUT WHAT IF IT'S RIGHT, HAYLEY!! What if they were innocent Angels that were living in peace!! We didn't know an Angel could do that but they live to terrorize! Why if this one is terrorizing Hunters!!" Sam shouted.

"Sam I'm supposed to be able to trust you to help me! What, are you one of them? Just putting up with me to see me suffer! This was all planned! Wasn't it!!" Hayley shouted. The Angel broke free and ran as Hayley tried chucking her axe at it.

Sam didn't know how to feel, the person he had trusted his life with and who supposedly trusted him with hers, had accused him of being an Angel.

"Look at that it got awa- Sam? Sam I didn't mean it, alright? Do you really believe them? We'll search tomorrow for this Carter guy then, okay? And she can go, alright?" Hayley explained. "You trust her so I'll trust you."

Sam didn't say anything, Hayley started to approach him and he ran. Just wanting away.

What's the point of a partner you can't trust, anyways?
