"Marc what am I supposed to do?" Sam asked, staring at his progress report.
"Sam, you're progressing with difficulty in everything and all of your character traits need improvement. What have you been doing?!" Marc shouted.
"All I can think about is them! I've taken up tracking and it's taking all of my attention! Marc what the hell do I tell my parents?!" Sam shouted.
"Sam. You do remember what Damien's dad told us about angels? You can learn so much faster than like me if you're taught a certain way. How do you think Damien remembers everything about history? Just have Damien's dad tutoring you!" Marc suggested.
"But he won't tell me anything but history," Sam replied.
"Show him your progress report," Marc explained. "He'll take you under his wing."
"Shut up," Sam replied as Marc laughed at his own comment. "It's not even that funny."
"Whatever, but still, even Damien could tutor you," Marc explained.
"My parents are going to kill me if they see my progress report, though. They're going to know I'm still involved in angels," Sam explained.
"I'm still involved, Sam. I still go on hunts sometimes with Hayley. I was never a big hunter, like you, though," Marc explained. "How is it taking all of your attention to track them?"
"It doesn't matter. The problem I have is finding a way around telling my parents why I'm failing," Sam explained.
"Just say it's because you weren't in school for so long," Marc replied.
"I guess," Sam replied.
"So the real question, there's something big next weekend," Marc explained.
"What?" Sam asked, folding up the page and shoving it in his pocket.
"Damien's birthday," Marc replied, Sam stumbled over his feet.
"Oh shit!" Sam replied. "Oh yeah! How old's he going to be?! He's older than us, right?"
"Eighteen or something?" Marc replied. "What are you getting him? You are his boyfriend."
"I don't know, what should I get him? Damien and I never exchanged gifts since we were kids," Sam explained.
"Like couple gift things, I don't know, flowers or something," Marc replied.
"What would you want from someone you were with?" Sam asked.
"I don't know, what would you want from Damien?" Marc asked.
"Nothing," Sam replied.
"Be honest, you want something, and so will Dam," Marc replied.
"Don't call him that, it won't catch on," Sam protested.
"So he can't have a nickname but you can?" Marc asked.
"He's damn but he isn't a Dam," Sam explained.
"Well what does someone who is damn deserve for their birthday from their boyfriend?" Marc asked.
"You can't call him that, either. I can but it's not right for you to," Sam protested. "And I don't know what to get him. Does a hug suffice?"
"I'm just saying, it's his birthday, you should get him a gift," Marc explained. "I'd get something for a girlfriend."
"I'm seeing him later. I'll ask him what he wants. We're going to see some animated movie he was interested in," Sam explained.
