Sam's head hurt, he was on his hands and knees. He collapsed to the ground, his stomach was in pain.
"Holy shit, yes!" Damien shouted, instantly lifting Sam off the ground and into a hug. Sam groaned in pain.
"D-Damien? What the hell are you doing here?" Sam asked, leaning away and placing a hand on his forehead.
"Because we found Carter again, and he was here," Damien replied. Sam opened his eyes and instantly fell backwards only for Damien to catch him.
"W-what? You're eyes..." Sam mumbled.
"I use coloured contacts to hide them," Damien explained.
"But..." Sam replied. "I just saw some crazy hallucination or dream or something... it was this room, but it was a jungle thing... and there was this giant..."
"That was real, you died," Damien replied. "You went to Aaron's Garden."
"Aaron?" Sam asked.
"He's basically the god of all Angels," Damien explained.
"But..." Sam mumbled.
"Sam, you're an Angel," Damien replied.
"No I'm not," Sam protested. Suddenly large wings faded into view behind Damien and Sam was petrified.
"You're an Angel, you can see my wings, I know you can," Damien explained, then they vanished back to normal.
"What the hell..." Sam mumbled. "You're an Angel?"
"So are you," Damien replied.
"But... no I'm not!" Sam replied.
"You can see my wings, you went to Aaron's garden, your eyes are bright blue, you're an Angel, Sammy," Damien, grabbing Sam's shoulder. "And we have to go because Marc left so I think he's telling your family you died and we don't want to scare them like that."
Suddenly Sam's sight went blurry and he felt the familiar sense as if he'd been falling, before Damien let go and ran out of the space between houses they were in and grabbed Marc's arm.
"Marcus!" Damien called out. "Marc everything's okay."
Damien looked over to Sam who had followed him out, slightly dazed, had they just... teleported?
"Sam? Oh my god! How the fuck?!" Marcus shouted, running over and wrapping his arms around Sam.
"I don't know," Sam replied, his voice was shaky. Marc was the only thing that made sense to him right now, he grabbed on tight to Marc's back.
"I went to Aaron's garden to get Sam," Damien explained.
"But he died! I saw it!" Marc shouted. Staring at Sam.
"He did, I brought him back..." Damien replied. "It was that or the other shadowed Angels would get to him because he could bring about the second angel apocalypse, that's what I risked in taking him back from the Garden, but I didn't want them to kill him in the garden, because Aaron doesn't protect them, they need a security guard or something."
"How?" Marc asked.
"There's a small window of time to bring an angel back before they lose themself, you've seen it happen! At the campsite I killed her and you saw them bring her back from the garden!" Damien explained.
"This doesn't make sense!" Marc shouted, grabbing Sam by the shoulders.
"We're angels Marc, we're not supposed to be scientifically explainable!" Damien replied.
