"Dude wake up!" Marc shouted. Waking Sam up as he pulled him off of his bed.

"Marc! What the hell!" Sam shouted.

"So, Marc says I look gay af, on a scale of one to ten, how adorable am I?" Damien asked.

Sam groaned as he stood up and looked over at Damien.

"Take my scarf off, Damien," Sam replied frowning and looking over at his alarm clock. "It's 6 in the morning, why am I awake?"

"It's a Monday, I have school," Marc replied. "So, I invited Damien over because we're gonna hang out and skip today. Hayley saw us walking around and made us wake you up."

"What?" Sam replied. Damien took off the scarf and laid it over Sam's head.

"Your secret girlfriend is waiting for you in her truck," Damien said. "We're headed back out, see ya!"

The two then ran out of his room. Sam pulled the scarf off his head and dropped it on his bed.

He stepped outside eating a piece of toast. Hayley honked her horn loudly as Sam shut the door behind him.

"Hey, what do you need?" Sam asked.

"No scarf?" Hayley asked. "Don't know who I'm talking to anymore."

"Eh," he replied shrugging. "Didn't feel like it. Why'd you get my friends to wake me up?"

"You wearing a hoodie and actual jeans is so weird!" she said. "Where's your symbol on this one?"

"The hood," Sam said pulling the red hood over his face to show the triangle on the front.

"Cool, it's so strange to see you without the scarf, it's like your trademark!" she continued.

"Great, now Hayley, why am I awake at six in the morning?!" he asked.

"My uncle's, neighbour, who's a doctor, was pulled into some place seven hours north to help with something and invited my Uncle along, doctors started dying bi-weekly. My uncle and his neighbour are alright, but he called my dad this morning asking for backup and I volunteered us," Hayley explained.

"So this Angel acted up as soon as a hunter was around, very suspicion by the way, and he's after doctors?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, get in, I'll keep explaining on the road," she said. Sam walked around the truck and got in on the right side, she started the truck and started driving.

"So, what else is there about them?" Sam asked.

"Well, my Uncle knows who he is, he's a doctor himself, bright green eyes, but he looks like a convincing human. But my Uncle noticed he kept talking to the victims in private the day before they died. And he's been around each death. Watching my uncle," Hayley explained.

"So why does he need backup? He's a hunter, isn't he?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, but he's always with his neighbour, who isn't a hunter, making sure he stays alright. He can't risk it," she replied.

((Time Passage))

"Here we are. My uncle's in their hotel, he's waiting there while his neighbour is working," Hayley explained.

"How long have they been here, by the way?" Sam asked.

"Two months. Neighbour is helping out a bit more and they decided to take some time away from home," Hayley explained.

"Oh," Sam replied.

A door opened as a man walked out.

"Hayley! Almost thought you weren't coming!" he said walking over. Hayley started walking as well and Sam followed. "Here's some photos, you two should be gone by tonight. Every day at midnight he'll go out back, where the aren't cameras, might I mention. Convenient to you two. Good luck. Thought you said your hunting partner wore a scarf."

"Yeah, he's frustrating," Hayley replied. "I made his friends wake him up at 6 am."

Sam frowned. He just wanted it to be midnight, 11 hours to go.

Hayley dragged Sam around to shop and look around but he was only interested in the many food stores they passed, attracted into one shop by the smell of fresh bread.

When it got dark Sam just got more anxious. Hayley's truck was parked nearby, the plan was to jump when his guard was down, and get back into her truck and out of the town as soon as possible. But all Sam could think about was crackers he was eating as he was walking with Hayley who was talking about all of the outfits she wanted to buy but didn't have money for.

At midnight they were camped outside the back where Hayley's Uncle had said they'd find the Angel.

He stepped outside and Hayley was first to move.

"Why, why kill so many innocent people. And only when hunters are around? You're some strange Angel," she said.

"Angel? What the hell are you going on about, girl?" he asked. "I'm a human, what do you mean by hunter."

"Don't lie to me. You've been caught, there's no getting out of this," Hayley said. Walking closer and reaching for her axe.

"Woah, let's calm down, alright? I'm not lying," the man said. Sam noticed that it alms or sounded like he was telling the truth. He was a pretty good actor.

Hayley pinned him to the wall, blade against his neck. The man was instantly shut up.

"Sam, why are you just standing around?" Hayley asked.

"You don't know what you're doing, girl, I'm not the one killing here, the only one with blood on their hands will be you," the man said.

"I told you to stop lying," Hayley growled.

Sam was trying to convince himself this man was lying. It was obvious he had to be. Her uncle was a hunter, he couldn't be wrong.

"Fine, don't help," Hayley said. Swinging back and spraying blood all over the wall.

She pulled her jacket off and started running back, grabbing Sam's wrist and pulling him after her, wrapping the axe in the bloody jacket.

They got to the truck and she threw the jacket in the back seat and started the car.

"What were you doing?" Hayley asked.

"Don't get mad but... what if he wasn't the angel we were after?" Sam asked quietly.

"Did you even listen to me? My uncle wouldn't lie. That thing was obviously lying. You've seen movies, good actors exist. If we know it was him, then it's obvious it was him. The next town we come across we'll be checking in there for some sleep. Get yourself together, Sam. If we find one that does try to fight, as rare as that is for some reason, I need to know I can trust you to have my back," Hayley said. She didn't seem very happy with him.

"Alright," Sam replied. Hayley pulled out her phone to call her Uncle.
