Sam spent a while of the drive just staring out the window.
He didn't feel like talking to anyone or even looking at his friends.
All he could think about was how he caused the deaths of innocent Angels because they rushed themselves. And Damien was now extremely tense and acting differently.
It made Sam wonder if Damien's family, being knowledgable of Angels, and possibly Hunters at some point, that his family had run into Carter in the past.
Marcus seemed uncomfortable from how tense the air was, Sam heard the radio start and tensed up extremely at a call back to reality. He glared up to the front and saw Damien's shoulders tense up as their gaze connected through the rear view mirror, Sam thought he saw something for a second before turning away.
Damien quickly shut it off and Sam noticed him looking back at him again before Sam went back to staring out the window.
"So Damien how is-" Marcus started to say after about 20 minutes of a dead silence.
"Don't talk Marcus, let Sam think," Damien said strictly.
Sam looked over at Damien and Marcus looked back to see his friend leaning on the door.
"Sorry..." Marcus mumbled. Sam watched Damien suspiciously, he definitely knew Carter from someone, but it seemed almost like he hated him on a personal level.
The drive was long and boring. Sam was zoning out and he just wanted to find an Angel he knew was doing wrong and deserved it.
When they got back into town Sam didn't feel any better, he wanted to be back at the town where Hayley couldn't find him again, he wanted to go back and stop himself from killing those innocent Angels. They hadn't deserved that.
"Sam I want to talk to you," Damien said as he pulled into the driveway of Sam's house.
Marcus had a face like he wanted to say something but he seemed almost... afraid of Damien.
"Okay," Sam replied, opening the door and stepping out.
"I'll go meet up with someone," Marcus announced before he left down the street.
Damien got out and started walking as Sam followed. It was silent for a few moments.
"Why are you acting so weird? I've been like this before but not you," Sam said after a while. Damien stopped and froze up. "Y'know, you're just always happy and joking and chill and, your words not mine, fabulous... have you met Carter before?"
"Sam this was the one thing that scares me to death! I knew Carter was there you should've told me exactly where you were going, Sam! Now not only have I lost him, but he knows you and that you know me. That puts you, Marcus, Hayley, your family, everyone at a risk," Damien explained.
"Is this seriously what this is all about? Damien we're hunters. We live like this. And I made a deal with him so I shouldn't have to deal with him again," Sam explained, frowning slightly.
"I'm just trying to keep you safe, Sam. Don't let him touch you," Damien said.
"Dude what?" Sam asked.
"He can stop your heart," Damien said, glaring right at Sam, he was serious.
It was silent, Sam was petrified.
"H-how would you know that?" Sam asked, his voice shaky.
"My family has history around him," Damien replied. "Now go do something."
Damien turned away and started walking.
"Damien calm down I'm fine!" Sam shouted at him, running slightly to catch up with him.
