Sam left the room and stood in the hallway at the entrance to the living room.
He stood for about half an hour watching Robert. He'd spend hours on end drawing out here at his desk. Sam hadn't really come out of the room other than to use the bathroom.
After a while Robert turned to look at him.
"You're out here," he said. "Do you want something?"
Sam didn't respond. Robert continued to sit there as they watched each other.
"Have you ever tried drawing?" Robert asked.
"I won't tell him where I am. Can I talk to Damien?" Sam asked.
"Sam, I'm sorry but I really can't allow that. You'll see him eventually," Robert replied.
"I don't believe you," Sam replied.
The room went silent again as Robert turned back to his desk.
Sam kept watching him. He couldn't see the desk very well but he'd seen many of Robert's drawings before around the house to know it was probably something realistic.
Sam left back to the room and sat on the bed.
He looked over to see the journal on the desk. He grabbed it and say back down.
Sam opened the book and held the pencil. Could he draw? Maybe?
His mind was blank. Artist block already?
Sam pushed them away from him and sat there frustrated. He looked down and saw his bracelet.
Damien.
This was the bracelet Damien gave him. It reminded Sam that Damien loved him. Damien would always be there for Sam. He was probably looking for Sam right now.
Sam picked up the book and started drawing the little charm. It wasn't too detailed so it was easy for him to draw. In theory.
Sam ended up scribbling everything out. He eventually took the bracelet off so he could see it as he drew. It made his job a little easier.
Sam heard footsteps and looked up to see Robert stood there watching him.
"I thought you didn't draw?" Robert asked. Sam ignored him.
